Maybe it's a pleasant sound or something without, but the whole idea is by playing completely different tones in each ear, your temporal lobe changes it's vibration, and causes your brain to lose it's sense of time. Then it'll react in different ways which give you the feelings. The best way to get the effect is use noise cancelling headphones and as you listen, concentrate hard on the waves you hear. If you want to go on a crazy, mind-blowing trip, get blazed first and then do it. It'll completely blow your mind. You’re not getting the desired effect if you don’t use headphones.
