I'm putting together a "roll your own Tivo", DVD player, MP3 jukebox machine to integrate into my home theater and I'm building it entirely from scratch, out of acrylic. Bit-tech has become an inspiration and a guide for my efforts. Good to see them getting some exposure. I suppose I'd have my own project on there as a project log, but I don't have the patience to drag the project out and take pictures along the way. Anyway, for my first attempt at this sort of project, I don't imagine it would even be worthy. It makes me wonder just how much was spent on slightly misfitting components and hand tools in order to complete it. I particularly like the look of the junction box, although I'm not entirely fond of the overall piece. That horrible green accent color makes me want to tear my eyes out. But I guess after 7 months of work, the guy deserves some respect. Very crazy indeed.
