My first response to this was:

Heh. Only in the blogosphere.

But then I realized men have to talk on cellphones to appear cool to all the women out there so it is only reasonable that we are on the phone more. I know, I know not everyone does this “tactic”, but I know many people who use it to great effect. Acting busy while ignoring the ladies pays dividends for some. Just make sure you don’t go over your minutes in the process.
