Alright, if you haven’t heard about this already then you might want to skip down to the resources section that I provided below. Anyways, it seems that many people have tried this website and received their free iPods. Being young and dumb and willing to take risks I decided to jump on the bandwagon and see what all the fuss is about. So far I have 3 referrals and only need 2 more to go so I will make sure to keep you updated on whether or not this works.
I just didn’t see the harm in trying so I have posted my link and we shall look at it as an experiment for the good of humanity.
Seems the company also is running FreeFlatScreens.com as well. You got it, I signed up for that also. So either I will look the fool (if I don’t already ;-) or I will come out like a king.
Comments are to be used to discuss this deal and not for posting of your referral links. There are plenty of sites where you can do that and any comments containing them shall be deleted. Just trying to stop the spam onslaught before it happens.
As I mentioned I received my 5 confirmed orders (thanks everyone! Keep registering to help out the other FG staff) and initially it told me I had to wait 2 business days for them to check up on everything. This being a Thursday means that I would have to wait till Monday. Well being a geek I continued to check and lo and behold I was able to confirm my order.

Nice. I clicked the button and nothing happened. Since I was using Firefox I figured they screwed something up again and went to IE and got an error telling me the server was busy. “Forget that!” I screamed and went back to Firefox and viewed the source of the page and found where the button was going and manually typed in the url. It worked!

Damn straight I was going for the brand new 20GB iPod. No reason for them to even ask me. Click.

Time to confirm the shipping address. I originally put in a PO Box and was concerned thinking later on that they wouldn’t ship to me and just say “NO iPOD FOR YOU”, but they gave me a chance to change it with a red not telling me what’s up. Filled it out and Click.

Uh oh. I got more red type. Damn, must’ve done something wrong, surely they will cancel my good this time. Instead the red type is telling me that they checked my address against the Postal Service’s database and found a better one. Better one meaning one that included the ‘.’ after “Dr”. Whatever I say and chose their recommended address. Click.

They tell me thank you and I say your welcome. Then they tell me to refer my friends to FreeiPods.com which is what I had to do in the first place. Weird. Wonder if I can get more than one now? Time will tell…
I wakeup tomorrow try to will myself not to visit the site today because obviously nothing should change since last night. So it only makes sense that I would go check the site immediately when I wakeup and to my pleasant surprise my order is now “In Progress 3”. From what I have read if I remember correctly after this the next stage is shipping. We will see.

They still have me in Progress 3, but the thing came anyways. So, so, so sweet. So tiny. So sexy. This thing works my friends. Thanks for the help. Pics up this weekend hopefully. UPS guys dropped the box off. Everything looks perfect. I can’t even speak. Happiness. Great Friday.
This post will continue to update as new things happen.
I didn’t have time to take the picture-perfect photos that everyone else does (and clean my room :-), but I figure these give the photos a little more life.

So as you can see it’s real. If you want to believe it cool. If not, cool. I have seen almost everyone in a forum get flamed to death and banned because of letting people konw of this offer. Sorry to see that. In any case it works if you follow the rules. Nuff said.

1Hmm, I just tried this and was told to use a valid email address. Guess they don’t like Gmail. Seeing as nothing happends when I click on their privacy policy and terms and conditions links I have no idea if that is really the case or not. (Ok just tried in another browser. Must be the Firefox popup blocker. But the indicater wasn’t showing? Oh well.) Seeing as I use my Gmail account for such questionable stuff (that could potentialy generate alot of unwanted email) I guess I’ll miss out. Too bad.
July 19th, 2004 at 2:44 pm
2Hey Paul!
I signed up with your link. When you get your 5 can you change the link to mine.
Thanks & let me know.
July 20th, 2004 at 2:44 am
3Yeah, the site is sketchy during registration with Firefox. I just went with IE.
July 20th, 2004 at 3:58 pm
4I was able to use my gmail email so far but i’m trying to finish up the process. The one guys process of using AOL seems maybe worth the try. Yeah, and Firefox didn’t work completely, yet seems okay now after logining in.
July 21st, 2004 at 9:50 am
5They added registering for ebay and placing one bid as an option… that’s much better than AOL, I think. No cancelling required… just bid low on something with 7 days left and you won’t spend a dime (unless you want to), and you’ll have the ebay account handy for later use.
July 21st, 2004 at 2:27 pm
6Ahh man. Just when I completed the AOL one. All well at least it’s easier for other people to sign up now.
July 22nd, 2004 at 3:04 pm
7To keep everyone updated since a lot of new visitors are coming here I have just got my 5 completed referrals (thx to those who did it) and the message now is saying I have to wait 2 business days so that they can confirm everything.
July 22nd, 2004 at 3:14 pm
8but keep signing up — we’re working our way through the forevergeek staff. :-)
July 22nd, 2004 at 4:30 pm
9So can anyone think of a way scam these guys?
Like somebody signing up multiple times through other people’s links with multiple fake adresses and credit cards?
July 22nd, 2004 at 4:46 pm
10I’m sure they verify. And if not, they’re not really getting scammed… their advertisers are. So it’s probably better not to do that. :-)

12yes, there are lots of those out there. This isn’t one of them, really. Yes, eventually people won’t get to participate because it grows exponentially, but it’s not something you’re paying for, so they’re not bilking you. And there are lots of people who have received theirs in the links referenced above, and in a variety of other sites if you google it.
Scrivs said his was ordered and set at pending, so we’ll see soon, from someone we know isn’t working for them. :-)
Their server seems to be getting slower and slower though. Guess they weren’t ready for the traffic. Ipods are much more exciting to people than most other equivalently priced goods, I guess. :-)
July 22nd, 2004 at 6:32 pm
13So far I’ve gotten 11 people to sign up under me. (i signed up under scrivs) yet no credits yet. I agree with you JC that the server is getting slower. I’m anxious! keep us updated Scrivs.
July 22nd, 2004 at 7:10 pm
14Of course the idea of tricking people from the UK (who can’t participate in this) into paying to opt in to this is a scam.
Anyways, I updated the post with pics so we will see.
July 22nd, 2004 at 9:33 pm
15Daniel – just be patient… take a look at each of the offers, and the second popup window will tell you how long each of them takes (max).
It looks like AOL takes a day or two… the friend I helped register in the evening with the ebay one was confirmed the next morning.
July 22nd, 2004 at 9:54 pm
16::sigh::
Sorry, Paul:
(e) Users may refer more than 5 friends to try and maximize likelihood of getting credit and minimize the time it takes, but cannot receive credit for more than 1 iPod.
July 22nd, 2004 at 11:22 pm
17I don’t know who I helped get an iPod, but I do have 5 DVDs coming my way. Hopefully, whoever the referrer link belongs to has an iPod coming their way. :)

18Status: In Progress 3
July 23rd, 2004 at 12:58 pm
19Hi all,
According to FreeiPods, the new 20 GB version start shipping from them early next week.
July 23rd, 2004 at 1:41 pm
20Good, good news. Thanks a lot Andru.
July 23rd, 2004 at 4:22 pm
21What am I supposed to do if I already signed up without using a referal? Am I out of luck? Most places expect you to sign up via a referral, understandably. I can think of maybe two friends/family that might help me out. Any ideas on getting the other three?
My part of the offer was completed and already confirmed. I’m not going to post my referral link here based on the disclaimer, but if someone can point me to a place willing to help me out that would be great.
Thanks.
July 23rd, 2004 at 5:27 pm
22Only need 3 more complete referrals, use the ancestry.com because it is quick or the AOL one if you don’t feel safe with the other one. Thanks.
July 23rd, 2004 at 5:48 pm
23Richard – all that means is no one else benefited from your signup. It doesn’t affect your ability to complete the requirements in any way. You just have to complete one offer and get 5 friends to complete one using your referral link.
July 23rd, 2004 at 7:50 pm
24So, has anyone actually received an iPod from these guys? One of my friends who I put on my list absolutely refuses to sign up and help me out, insisting that this is a scam.
-Dave
July 23rd, 2004 at 8:19 pm
25Checkout the last 3 links in the list above for proof. From what I have been reading, mine should ship next week.
July 23rd, 2004 at 8:57 pm
26I posted the free iPods thing to a website that I frequent, sensible erection, and they are saying nothing but bad stuff about it.
July 24th, 2004 at 1:47 pm
27Users must be residents of the United States.
Shit! So Europeans are out once again.
July 24th, 2004 at 2:37 pm
28Sorry Random Guy… maybe Europe needs a few more entrepreneurs so we USians are the ones disappointed on occasion. :-)
You can hardly blame a US company for not wanting to deal with the hassle of international shipping, multiple currencies, differing tax laws and the rest.
July 25th, 2004 at 4:43 am
29About JC’s coment, I was just expressing frustration, not blaming anybody.
July 25th, 2004 at 2:35 pm
30“You can hardly blame a US company for not wanting to deal with the hassle of international shipping, multiple currencies, differing tax laws and the rest.”
Or getting their asses dragged into Court for trying to introduce an ILLEGAL PYRAMID SCHEME.
July 26th, 2004 at 12:48 pm
31Sucks, but it makes sense I suppose. Those flat screen TVs and monitors all run around $375-$450 and the ipods run from $250-$300…so they’d need more signups. That and the flat screen CRTs must cost a bundle to ship because they weigh so much.
And yes, it changed for people who’d already signed up… but not sure if it changed for people who already had 5 friends who’d completed their offers.
July 26th, 2004 at 8:20 pm
32But in the signup email it says 5 people. Now I can see if they sent me an email a few days before stating they were going to change it for the ones that didn’t have 5 but either way, thought Id give a heads up since it suprised me when I saw that. I emailed them but am waiting for a reply.
July 27th, 2004 at 1:05 am
33Word of advice: eBay DOES NOT ask for credit cards on registration IF it uses what it thinks is a fee web-based email account. Use your ISP’s free mail service (in my case verizon) and register for eBay as many times you’d like under 5 FREEIPOD accounts.
Do an advanced search for working/sealed electronics in the 5-10 doller range (that have just recently begun) and bid.
July 27th, 2004 at 4:32 am
34Anyone wanna help me further mine?
July 27th, 2004 at 2:08 pm
35Excellent. My order is confirmed. :-)
July 27th, 2004 at 3:49 pm
36Hey, I have a question. I placed a bid on eBay (1 cent on a digital camera, 6 days left) just to complete my offer, & no one else is outbidding me! And I don’t want to win the item… so what do you think I should do >_Hey, I have a question. July 27th, 2004 at 3:51 pm
371. Are you really concerned about 1 cent?
2. 6 days is a long time in the eBay universe. I am sure you will be alright.
July 27th, 2004 at 5:35 pm
38I did some math and figured out some basic figures in regards to the actual number of people who get iPods. Check it out:
http://samuellame.com/archives/2004/07/27/44/
Note, this is NOT a referral link. It honestly goes to my site.
July 27th, 2004 at 9:51 pm
39If you actually get the camera for 1 cent you should jump for joy. LOL
July 28th, 2004 at 12:24 am
40Samuel, very nice indeed man. That should greatly help people understand how a company like Gratis gets away with doing this.
Intruder: That was exactly my point.

41Sony Wega Received: Free Flat Screens Proves To Be True
When the free iPods site became known, many were quick to write it off as a scam, even after proof was presented to show otherwise. Soon after, the free flatscreens promotion started, and again people cried foul. Well, to…
July 28th, 2004 at 1:34 am
42I just read that eCost.com sent out a large shipment from freeipods.com so let’s hope mine was on there (and your’s to if you are waiting).
Also I put a post concerning the Freeflatscreens.com deal.
July 28th, 2004 at 1:54 am
43Ha, sorry about that, yeah, I got outbid. XD
But um, my stupid friend bid on a good digital camera worth $500 for $384 that still has 6-7 days left. Now tell me someone will outbid THAT? :(
Anyway, does anyone know how long it takes for it to update on how much complete referrals you have? It’s been a while and my friend already completed his offer.
July 28th, 2004 at 4:57 am
44Does someone know a way I could get more referrals? It’s so hard to get one & I really need help. If you’re willing to add my new Conga Line, would you?
If not, I’m sorry about this. If you do need help on something I could offer to help (graphic designing, HTML stuff?), and maybe you could help me get a referral? I feel really stupid making this comment. :/
July 28th, 2004 at 10:20 am
45i think it’s just you, the site is working just fine for me. Man, getting referrels takes a long time.
July 28th, 2004 at 12:09 pm
46i have 21 people who signed up and only2 completed out of it..and it has been more than 3 days..jeez whats up with that
July 28th, 2004 at 12:19 pm
47Happy -
Takes a while for some of the offers to confirm… ebay is a 1-3 days, AOL’s 2-3, a couple of them are instant, and a few take 2-4 weeks. Click on each offer and it’ll tell you how long confirmation takes.
And if you weren’t clear that people’d have to sign up for an offer when you sent it to them, they probably wouldn’t do one.
Give it some time. By the end of the week, you should have more confirmed. :-)
July 28th, 2004 at 12:26 pm
48To the author of this article,
Can you add my site to your list of links?
Thank you.

49hello? “Comments are to be used to discuss this deal and not for posting of your referral links.”
RTFA or don’t RTTFA
:-)
Scrivs linked to a few conga lines, and you can find plenty more by googling. Those would be the appropriate place.
July 28th, 2004 at 2:36 pm
50Daniel, your link require registration just to see it. Correct that and I will add it.
STOP ADDING REFERRAL LINKS..I DELETE THEM
July 28th, 2004 at 4:46 pm
51I signed up under someone’s referral link, typing in only my email and password. I did not click the confirmation mail and I didn’t enter anything else. However I think I did confirm the other account, but still didn’t enter anything. I didn’t complete my offer or anything else. I did this twice (on accident) and on the third time I actually added my personal info, completed my offer, etc. Is this considered multiple accounts? Will that person I referred be placed on hold?
July 28th, 2004 at 6:05 pm
52Here’s my question. Maybe someone will know. My friend and I both signed up and got our five referals. However, even though I secured my five before he did his five, his five were confirmed within the site before my five (I currently only have two in the green, one of them being him).
If there a particular reason that something like this would happen?
July 28th, 2004 at 6:18 pm
53Seems simple enough. His 5 people signed up for offers with faster results than yours did, or there were some irregularities with yours, like mismatching email addresses or something. Or 3 of your friends signed up and didn’t do offers, while all 5 of his did. A couple of the offers have instantaneous results — the ones that require you to buy stuff, or get “free” stuff while paying shipping and handling… the pet medicine one and the professor video ones, I think.
July 30th, 2004 at 11:57 am
54just try again later. The site’s under a heavy load and is performing poorly because of it.
And it’s “someone,” not “sumone”
July 30th, 2004 at 12:43 pm
55I was still in Progress 3, but the UPS guy just dropped it off. It’s here. It works. I am happy. Pics later.
July 30th, 2004 at 1:12 pm
56Congratulations!!!!!
July 30th, 2004 at 1:21 pm
57Let me see pictures
July 30th, 2004 at 1:26 pm
58Got no problem showing you pics once I get my hands on my digital camera. They will be up this weekend.
July 30th, 2004 at 1:27 pm
59If someone completes say 3 offers on 1 accout do you get the credit for the 3 offers? or do you need 5 diffrent people?
July 30th, 2004 at 2:21 pm
60Hi all, was wondering if anyone has noticed the security issue from the freeipods site for when they try and sign up for these free offers?
All the offer’s I’ve tried (except the AOL one since I don’t want that on my system) are asking for confidential information on an unsecured link. I’m wondering if I’m the only one who has noticed this or if anyone else has?
Cause I would really like to do this, but not at the risk of having my information spread out there.
July 30th, 2004 at 2:27 pm
61Actually, that’s not the case. It probably looks that way because they wrap the page you’re linking to in a frameset and the frameset might not be SSL… but your submission to ebay or wherever is definitely secure… view source and you’ll see it’s all SSL.
July 30th, 2004 at 7:15 pm
62Great to hear Paul. Enjoy it. Mine should be comming sooooon. :-)
July 31st, 2004 at 6:48 pm
63From those who have received an iPod…how long did it take from the time you placed the order (after all your requirements were met) to the time you had the iPod in your hands?
Thanks!
July 31st, 2004 at 7:57 pm
64OMG good job and congrats on getting your ipod. :)
Edward, my friend placed an order on Thursday 7/29, she still hasn’t gotten it yet (obviously not that quick). It takes a few days to over a few weeks (or maybe a month +) to ship.
Hey I have a Q, how come I can’t access the freeipods site on this computer but I can on my sister’s computer? I could before. Also we’re on the same network. Strange.
July 31st, 2004 at 8:30 pm
65Well the day mine arrived I got an email saying how it shipped from Gratis so there system is way behind what happened in real life.
Also I found on different browsers you get different results. Sometimes I would get errors in IE and use Firefox and it worked and vice versa.
Oh yeah, pics are now posted.
July 31st, 2004 at 9:03 pm
66Sweet! I’ve been wanting an iPod for way too long now, and the chance to finally get one without having to sell my soul to the devil, is making me really excited. :D
Congrats on getting the iPod, just make sure you don’t use the headphones it came with in public, or you’ll get mugged. I suggest using Shure E2c earphones, which I’ve been using for a while now and dearly love for their supreme quality.
Enjoy the new iPod!
July 31st, 2004 at 10:27 pm
67The sad thing is, this offer is only available in the United States. ;_;
July 31st, 2004 at 10:28 pm
68Excellent, Scrivs. Can’t wait to get mine. I have a 3g 15 gig that I bought a year or so ago, but I’m sure I can find a good home for it. :-)
And I’ll second Matt on the E2 earphones… you may recall I posted about them on my site, and also had a post here about various competitors… just keep an eye on ipodlounge.com, they post special deals on the shure phones from MicrophoneSolutions.com pretty frequently, you can usually get the e2 phones for about 75 bucks (e2 & e2c are the same thing with different packaging… e2c is targeted at consumers, e2 at professional musicians, but the phones are identical. with the e3 series, the only difference is that the C version is white to match the ipod, and only the part that goes in your ear, not the cable)
July 31st, 2004 at 11:41 pm
69JC: I was reading your weblog, and saw that the joi-ito.com discussion sold you on the E2c. Amazing because that is the exact same discussion that made me buy the E2c too. That guy should get some compensation from Shure, I’m thinking he had convinced a lot of people to buy the E2c. :)

70Tampa Bay!!! Woohoo!!! Clearwater too! woooo!
August 1st, 2004 at 2:03 am
71I meant to say, its hard trying to get rubes to sign up under your referral, esp. when they can’t seem to complete an offer. I myself went for the GM card offer on my first link, but it hasn’t registered and its been several weeks, so i went AOL and that was 10-4d in a week. now i need average thinking people to get their rear in gear.
also. TAMPA, whoooo! Clearwater, Whooo!
August 2nd, 2004 at 10:35 am
72Is it just me or is everyone getting a service unavailable message at freeipods?
August 2nd, 2004 at 12:41 pm
73I think it’s been mentioned multiple times here, Sean… their site is down alot. Probably more traffic than they can handle… don’t panic. It’s up now.
August 2nd, 2004 at 2:13 pm
74Has anyone found out for sure if you can or can not get more than one iPod if you fulfill the requirements twice? I was lucky and got a ton of fulfilled offers and it would be a shame to waste all of them.
Thanks guys
August 2nd, 2004 at 2:14 pm
75Ok yeah, so I thought it was all gravy for the longest. I had gotten 4 completed referrals and I knew I had 1 more in the bag (a family member purchased something off of petcarerx.com). So a week later from that date, I’m still sitting here at 4 completed referrals waiting on that 5th one. I have sent 6 emails to varioius email addresses at gratis internet as well as to freeipods.com’s support address. I have received no response in a full week. Believe me, i want to believe in this thing, and I do for hte most part, but when people who are doing ebay offers and getting 1-3 day verification, when i had a family member to actually make a purchase, and still not received her verification. Something just isn’t right with that. Anyone had response from freeipod.com’s or gratisinternet.com’s tech/service support?
August 2nd, 2004 at 10:31 pm
76I wish people would stop thinking this was a scam :(
August 3rd, 2004 at 2:07 am
77Yeah its totally legit. Were helping people get theirs at our forums so check it out. . .

August 3rd, 2004 at 2:17 am
78If this is real than why are your pending and in progress 3 have the exact same date and time? When I went from pending to In Progress 2 the date and time changed.
Very suspect of you there buddy. Very suspect
August 3rd, 2004 at 10:06 am
79Maybe scrivs knows how to push the submit button once instead of 8 times, “wtf.”
I went from pending to progress 2 after a day or so and went to progress 3 yesterday. for scrivs, it was almost instant from pending to 3… lucky… but hardly suspect.
August 3rd, 2004 at 11:00 am
80Well seeing how I don’t control Gratis’ system I admit to it not being top of the line. In any case I have my iPod now so I am happy. You would probably be happy to have my iPod as well wtf.
Hell the status didn’t change from pending 3 to shipping till the iPod was at my door.
August 3rd, 2004 at 12:32 pm
81i reall hope i get one!
August 3rd, 2004 at 1:58 pm
82What part of “Comments are to be used to discuss this deal and not for posting of your referral links” is so bloody difficult to understand? But then, I suppose if you’re too lazy to type out the word “people,” actually reading an article isn’t going to happen, either.
August 4th, 2004 at 8:36 am
83Any ideas whats going on at the site? I’m getting a Service Unavailble message when I go to it
August 4th, 2004 at 11:36 am
84did you guys have to verify your email to get the ipod like it says? i clicked “verify email” a day or two ago but never got anything (checked my junk mail folder just in case but no go).
August 4th, 2004 at 11:41 am
85R, A friend of mine had that problem as well, and is still waiting on verification for her purchase from petcarerx.com. Thats the most frustrating part about it. I haven’ theard back from freeipods.com’s tech/customer support on the matter either.
Linus, they are under heavy traffic, just bear with it. You will get that several times aday, especially in the mid-afternoon when they are more proned to update the status of accounts.
August 4th, 2004 at 12:49 pm
86What offers result in the fastest confirmation?
August 4th, 2004 at 12:58 pm
87can anyone help out on this freeipods offer, I can do the same if you just explain how to back out of those offers! Thanks to all!!!
August 4th, 2004 at 1:26 pm
88I recommend checking out http://www.freeipodguide.com for information on the various offers and how to cancel offers.
August 4th, 2004 at 2:07 pm
89I am sitting in PROGRESS 2 … since Monday afternoon. Hoping to advance.
On the topic of the DATE changing when the STATUS changes (ie. from PENDING to IN PROGRESS 2 to IN PROGRESS 3) … my date hasn’t changed, and I’ve moved from PENDING to IN PROGRESS 2.
I’m anxiously awaiting the iPod :)
August 4th, 2004 at 4:31 pm
90nothing has changed for me status-wise since monday either… i’ve referred a few people since then and they haven’t even showed up on my progress yet. i’m guessing it’s just really busy, hopefully they’ll updaten everything within the next couple of days.

91Scrivs – here’s a link for ipodlounge… post on Shure e3c earphones on sale for about 125 bucks. The e2c are less expensive, but the e3c is more comfortable (softer in-ear material) and has slightly better sound, or rather, slightly different sound… better is subjective. They’re also a good bit smaller.
August 5th, 2004 at 12:57 pm
92Cool, for now I went with some Sony earphones with some noise cancelling technology. Left them in the car, else I would shoot you a link. Work very well, comfortable, and look uber cool on my globe (head).

93Does anyone know if they freeze your account if you do two accounts from the same computer? Do they check your IP Address? I’m saying if you have a different, name, home address, and email address, but you do it on the same computer, so you share an IP Address.
August 5th, 2004 at 4:32 pm
94I am pretty sure you would be safe Nathan as long as you logged out of your account. Of course if you weren’t logged out I don’t see how you could register a new account anyways. In any case, they were not prepared for the onslaught of traffic. My freeflatscreens account from waiting for 2 days to 7 days.
You get what you pay for.
August 5th, 2004 at 5:13 pm
95I dunno. I’d clean the cookies first, just in case. The IP address is irrelevant… people using AOL all share a small number of IPs, people on a network behind a firewall, all those have the same IP.
If you do all 5, they might be a little iffy… who knows? :-)
August 5th, 2004 at 6:37 pm
96I have a question. I didn’t realize at first that it said that you can’t have 2 in the same household and my sister signed up for it as well. I emailed them to ask them if they can delete her off of my referal list. Do you think they will put my account on hold or delete it because i asked well ahead of time?
August 5th, 2004 at 7:05 pm
97ok guys wats poppin..umm can sumone who already got their ipod answer this question..thanks..well right now gratis is confirming that i got 5 ppl..that’ll take a week..my question is..after i get my ipod..can i use the same account to get another ipod? will they clean out your referral list..sumone describe to me what happens thanks dudes. 1
August 5th, 2004 at 7:15 pm
98Once you are done you are done. I think I have enough for about 2-3 more ipods, but I only get one.
August 5th, 2004 at 7:53 pm
99Hey Scrivs, how do I know what cookies to delete? I don’t want to delete all my cookies. Can I just do it in a different browser instead of IE? I’ve logged in in IE and Netscape, so should I do it in my realplayer browser?
August 5th, 2004 at 9:00 pm
100I have been getting through on all browsers so it doesn’t hurt to try another one. I would think the cookie would use the freeipods.com domain.

Check out the site, I’ll put up links get a new conga going. Still waiting for my referrals to come in. Oh well, might as well sit and wait.
August 6th, 2004 at 5:04 pm
102they DO check IPs. this is unfortunate for me because, although i didn’t cheat, 2 of my referrals were made from the office i work at and hence apparently shared IPs. so i got denied for 2 of my referrals even though they were legit. you better believe i sent customer service an email about that…

105Bob -
I chose the AOL 45 day one. came in handy the other day, too, I had to test a site in AOL. But I’ll cancel before it’s up. Most people probably chose the ebay offer. It’s the easiest.
August 7th, 2004 at 9:16 pm
106Unfortunately they have closed the ebay offer. I have completed my offer (completed it a week ago) and have only 1 referal complete his part yet. I have 21 other who signed up and are jacking off or have not completed offers. That sucks, ppl should complete offers when they sign up. I hope my 4 other refereals complete their offers soon and I get my free iPod
August 8th, 2004 at 1:01 am
107Maybe they’d be more inclined to complete their offers if you didn’t insult them?
August 9th, 2004 at 3:51 am
108Since they closed the EBay and ancestry.com the easiest ones left are the two AOLs (Broadband and MUSICnet) and Rhapsody. I reccomend Rhapsody because you can cancel your subscription within the client so you don’t have to bother with customer service.
Any thoughts?
August 9th, 2004 at 7:40 pm
109Easiest way to complete it:

simple and works, spread around that url to help yourself out once youve submitted.

111I was wondering if anyone else had this problem. Whenever I go to click on any of the offers it will take me to a page and all it says is “Not logged in” Im using IE and accepting cookies. I have no clue what to do, so if someone could help me out it be appreciated.
August 10th, 2004 at 9:58 am
112This is the best way to get referrals:
http://www.ipodsfree.tk/
The owner will put your referral links onto the site until you get your 5! It took me a total of 4 days to get all my referrals from that site.

115I recently found another good site with lots of info on it…. http://freeipods.cheesepizza.net/ … I think it’s fairly new too, so any affiliate links or such might be pretty cheap. I donno, give it a shot.
August 10th, 2004 at 10:53 pm
116Found a new congaline for both ipod and freeflatscreens. Relatively new and small lines.

118EVERYONE RESPOND..how long did it take you guys to get your ipod after u went to IN PROGRESS? 1
August 11th, 2004 at 11:04 am
119Not to be an ass, but it will get you no where telling everyone to respond like that. We got some sensible minds here my friend. Use yours.
With that said, the time is a huge variable right now as Gratis is getting slammed. All you can do is wait.
August 11th, 2004 at 12:08 pm
120Not to mention, other than the staff here, who’d be wasting time reading this thread once they already had their ipod?
August 11th, 2004 at 1:23 pm
121Sorry abou that JC. You are right. I was acting a bit immature and figured this high quality site was like those other discussion boards where the trolls come in and cause chaos. Much love for ya.
August 11th, 2004 at 6:28 pm
122“Please note that all orders that are in In Progress 3 have been back ordered. Our supplier is currently out of stock & we expect orders to start going out in about a week. An email will be sent to you once your item has been shipped.”
::sigh::
And I had my 5 just a couple of days after Paul got his on 7/30 and I’m still waiting. ::sigh::

124For people who have gotten the 5 referrals, what was the most effective way of getting them?
August 12th, 2004 at 10:27 am
125How long did you sit on In Progress 3? It’s only been a couple of days for me, but I’m anxious.
August 13th, 2004 at 10:21 am
126This is a total scam. I had 6 unique signups under me five of them completed their offers, and after about 5 days they were all rejected claiming that they were not unique. How could that be possible when six different people signed up under me?
August 13th, 2004 at 11:12 am
127Well, Bob, there must have been something about them… same mailing address, usually. Did you sign up family members or something?
August 13th, 2004 at 11:38 am
128Check out http://www.freeipodinstructions.com
It’s not my site, but there a link to my referral link on there. Thanks a lot.
August 13th, 2004 at 8:47 pm
129JC – It was different people, from different houses, using different computers, connecting through different isps. And to top it all off the tech support site is down. Wonder why.

130Dear Forevergeek.com
I am planning to make my own freeipods informative site and I was wondering if it was okay for me to take these images of the ipod from gratis (upload them to my own server and of course give forevergeek credit) and put them on the site so visitors can view all the proof immediately! Please let me know if it’s alright!!!!! E-mail me at awakened_dream@earthlink.net

136Free iPods, Flat Screens, and PC’s Received
It seems that Gratis Networks’ free offer sites have taken the internet by storm. The fact is that to this day, there are still many who doubt the whole Free iPod, Free Flat Screens, and Free Desktop PC sites. It…
