I might make this Doom 3 day.

Extremetech posts some great benchmarks comparing the different Ati and Nvidia cards. Interestingly the GeForce 6800 which has been doing extremely well in other site’s benchmarks tops out at 80fps here. Something was definitely wrong.

In any case that is the card that I am eyeing, but it’s hard to go wrong with the majority of the cards on the list.

Doom 3 will be mine soon…
