I know you see the title and you must be thinking to yourself, “come on Scrivs, you gotta be joking me. I haven’t even gotten my free freeflatscreen or free ipod yet.” I know, but Gratis is at it again, and this time they are offering whole computers.
What’s the catch? You have to signup 10 people under you, but as we all know and as I have shown it is quite possible. There are 4 models and only one interested me (the Dell) because it was the only non-celeron PC.
I just signed up under the AOL thing again and they are probably wondering why in the hell someone would signup for a free trial 3 times in 2 months. I just told them I was setting up an account for my brother and I am paying for it.

Do they still have the rhapsody thing? I joined that for freeflatscreens and I’m thinking about keeping it… it’s only 10 bucks a month and I’m rather enjoying it. Selection isn’t as good as itunes… and you can’t keep the songs… (at least, not easily… you can always rip the stream to wav and convert to mp3)
I’m surprised they let you do the aol thing multiple times.
Of course, the total hassle of cancelling AOL is worth a few hundred bucks just on its own.
hmm. Dell’s definitely the best deal. P4 processor instead of celeron AND it includes the monitor. And the hard disk is 7200 speed instead of 5400. Not even the same class of machine as the others, really. Shared memory though… probably can’t put a good video card in it.

I joined under ya Scrivs, and I’ve found the MiracleBurn/Serenity deal completes faster and seems to to be the least amount of hassle. I’ve had enough headache with AOL for a lifetime, I don’t want to touch anything that deals with them anymore.
