NEC ND-6500A - Slimline, double layer, DVD Re-writer

NEC (UK) has launched the ND-6500A, a slimline 8 speed +/- DVD RW supporting the new Double Layer format. The advanced DVD re-writer has been developed to provide a light-weight solution to the growing need for high-capacity data backup on portable PCs.

The company says the Double Layer feature makes it possible to record up to 8.5GB of data on to a single disc.

The ND-6500A incorporates patented NEC “Active Optimised Power Control” to boost technology to increase the quality of written data. Active OPC identifies and compensates for disc anomalies such as scratches and dirt in real-time.
