Back in 1994 I went to London on a soccer trip and of course experienced all the great sites. The best was this little arcade that I happened to stumle upon and it featured the first VR game I had ever seen. I anxiously jumped right in and got my ass whooped, but that experience lasts me till this day as I continue to seek that true game interaction.

Well, I finally think it has arrived with NaturalPoint’s TrackIR3 Pro. It’s strengths seem to lie in Flight Sims, but I could easily see it being extended elsewhere.
It’s a headunit that sits atop your monitor and allows your head motions to control the way your viewpoint changes within the game. So now instead of having to memorize which keys change to which views you simply move your head to look to the left or the right.
Ars has some videos you can watch along with a great review and after watching them I admit to wanting to buy one along with a flight sim game. Maybe one day.
