I have Windows 7 64Bit too and I’ve got no problems with running the game. Make sure you renamed the game folder with a shorter name. Such as: trlove or something. And the run the reg edit thing. You don’t have to use DosBox. Just run the .exe

I still can’t run this game. I have Windows 7, 64bit. I’ve tried the DOSbox thing (says it can’t be run). Also downloaded the game provided by you guys.

clicked the reg edit thing, apparently it installed. According to the task manager the program runs….but I don’t see anything happening.

Any ideas?

You can use a hex editor to edit the END file to change what you see in the CG room. Google for “hex editor” and choose something free that works for you (I use xvi32, available here http://www.chmaas.handshake.de/delphi/freeware/xvi32/xvi32.htm)

Each row in the END file corresponds to a character. Each byte can take values from 00 to FF in hexadecimal. If you set the row to be all 00, the character appears at 0%. If you set it to all FF, it appears at 100% in te CG room.

If this link stops working in the future, follow the instructions above to reset True Love 95 so that all characters appear at 0% in the CG room.

HEY! I’m running Win 7 and this is what I did:

1) Make sure the folder name and the .exe are no more than 8 characters. My folder is labeled TRUELOVE and my .exe is labeled T_LOVE95.exe.
2) Double-click the .reg file. Mine is labeled TRUELOVE.reg. Just double-clicking should add the file to your computer.

*Don’t change the compatibility. (Maybe run as administrator, though?)

The game runs for me, but the resolution is pretty small. Didn’t even need DosBox, but if that’ll fix the resolution thing (or you still can’t get it to work), then that’s where the next attempt should be. Someone let me know if you figure out how to full screen it with Win 7.

Ok, someone clarify. Exactly what do we do with the truelove.reg file? Is there a way to edit it? If so what do we edit and how? How do we run a .reg file? I keep getting the registry error. Thank you.

I’ve played it on windows 7 before. Just when you download the game rename the folder ‘truelove’ to: true. And don’t forget to run truelove.reg first. It worked for me. You don’t need to change the compatibility.

This game ran pre-XP SP2 far as I can remember. I remember downloading it back in 2003 WinXP machine and playing it. And this was way before before SP2 was out. It also ran on my Vista pre-SP1 too with limited updates. Too bad compatibility layer for Vista and Win7 will only go far as Win XP SP2.

Time to look for way to virtualize Win95 now.

this game doesn´t seem to run on XP.
When clicking the truelov.reg the informations are added to registry. However, if double-clicking the t_love95.exe afterwards, it´s immediately shut down.

So, does anyone know if there is a real DOS version that could be run with dosbox?

I have the game, however I am looking for a fresh save file. One that doesn’t have any data in it from the last person that played the game. I want 0% allllll the way down the CG Menu. Of course, if somebody knows of a way that I can ‘reset’ the game, I’m all ears. Thanks!

should work, this one from the download section is indeed in english, the other games however for the most part aren’t. so careful if you can’t read japanese text when downloading the games for free there.
