Apple makes a photo connector for Ipods with color scrren that allows you to connect from Ipod docking port to USB on camera. It costs about $30. Havent tried it yet though.

oh, and I meant that in response to " Apple probably made it so you have to sync with iTunes to do that. :("
I'm sure you're right on the belkin ones.

I doubt it, Derek... They'll probably do something like they did with the voice recorders, where you can save straight to the ipod with the timestamp as the filename (or in this case, the timestamp would be the playlist/album and the files would keep their default names) and it synchs to itunes when you next plug it in... gives them the opportunity to license more stuff to belkin and griffin and bring in more $$$ while at the same time selling more ipods. :-)

I haven't owned one either, but they reportedly drain the battery like crazy and are terribly slow.

I'm sure if you tried to use it with the Photo iPod it would just load them onto the hard drive anyway, rather than make them available to be viewed. Apple probably made it so you have to sync with iTunes to do that. :(

Yeah, it's those Belkin readers. I've never owned one, so I didn't know they sucked.

Hopefully something better will come along now that there's an iPod Photo.

Apparently you can save photos directly to the iPod, but you'll need some 3rd party accessories to do it. Not as elegant as it could be, but cool nonetheless.
