Pretty cool — Google’s adding the contents of books to their search results, with the new Google Print beta. If your search results bring up a book, they link to it… you can click, get some info about the book including presumably some text including your search… links to buy it from a number of sellers… and some adsense ads for related things. As a publisher, you can make money by letting google index your books… the ad revenue goes to you much as if you had a site running adsense.
Update — They just posted on the Google Blog about it.

1Wow… amazing. I was wondering when someone would step up to the plate and do something like this.
Imagine beeing able to walk into your local library and do a google search through every book in the house. Crazy. I just wonder how long it takes to scan the average book.
I’ll definitely be sending in some books for a few of my clients.
