Halo 2 Pirated
Thursday, Oct. 14 2004 | Author: derek*Gasp* The French version of Halo 2 has been pirated! Shocking! Unbelievable!
Seriously though, who _didn’t_ see this coming? It’s the most anticipated Xbox game ever, of course it’s going to be pirated before it’s released. I’d be wary of downloading this one though, something this hot is going to be tracked by Microsoft pretty thoroughly. Plus the fact that it’s already on every gaming site on the internet means it would be a great one to bust a few people on and “make an example” out of somebody.

1BBC also has a writeup. I don’t think this is as damaging as it would be if it was computer game. Unless this is the PC version being pirated…

3Well 10,000 dollars is alot to pay for an xbox game (Yes that is what bungie is fining.) They will sue/ prosecute anybody they find and get as much money out of them taht they can. Its wrong to steal a legendary game like this. I say dont download it. Its not worth 10 stacks.

4Hey i got one more comment, how did it get stolen? I can only see 2 possible ways: 1:It was pocketed by a low bungie employee/a manufacturer or 2: It was hacked out of a computer system. Wtch one is it? Does anyone know?

7yah i say don’t dowload that game because it has so much good stuff in to it nd u will have to pay so much money if Microsoft catches you. i say it’z not worth it because u can just wait a few more days, nd it will be out in the market. Also instead of downloading it from the net, just pre order it at the closest game store to u. That would be a better idea bacuse Microsoft is taking this sereously, nd they will charge anyone that downloads it on the net for theft. unless u don’t get cought anyways, but they will cuz their microsoft

12Actually it was originally going to be released for the Mac, then Microsoft bought Bungie and changed it to Xbox/PC.

16No it isn’t out for the PC yet. Won’t be until next year at the earliest.
And you can be fined or jailed for downloading any game or illegal software if you get caught, it’s not like it’s a special thing just for Halo 2. Any time you download a game illegally you are taking that risk…

20Well halo 2 isnt coming out for pc so what do they expect!!!!! There are alot of pissed off halo fans because of this. They kind of diserve it for not letting it out for pc I mean cmon what other way is a pc gamer going to play halo. First person shooters were not made for a console and a crappy controller it was made for a pc.

31How do you steal halo 2 pc if it was never made by Microsoft? Don’t even try. And besides. The sayign that they have no plans is a sales Gimic. Microsoft does it all the time as all big co.s do. They do probably have plans for like several years from now (probably like 5 more years at least) They say they won’t make it to sell their console, then eventually will make it for pc and not make halo3 for pc for a long time once it comes out. God…what would halo3 look like? It must be awesome!

34Wow, its been a long while since i posted that. But i am pretty sure Halo 2 will come to PC, think about it. Next year 2006, Halo 3 early 2006, then Halo 2 PC leter 2006. That has got to be the way Bungie are doing it. They said that Halo wouldn’t come out for PC, but look what do you have? A Halo PC . 42Halo 2 for Xbox is a good game, so it will definitely be ported to PC, but when is the real question. Its past 1/9/2006 right now, so i doubt the above it true. Anyway, I would jsut like to say that if they do port it to PC, they should do a better job. When they did HALO 1, it was a rough port and basically just like…copying and pastin the stuff, so it ran pretty slowly. Anyway, thats all i gotta say, peace out

51so heres what im thinkin. halo 2 on pc is really easy to get. you simply download an emulator, get a working gamepad, and stick h2 in ur dvd drive. simple. where do you get an emulator? limewire. http://www.limewire.com so far it plays on my comp really well, just like on xbox. its completely moddable, and u dont have to reburn ur disc everytime you mod it. you can use the tools that come with the emu to create an iso image of the disc, saving you alot of time.
