When I was working in the corporate world I was always fascinated enough to go and look at other’s desktops to see how they work. A desktop can tell you so much about a person, probably more than you realized. I always felt that the ones who had their desktop cluttered with a 1,000 icons were the non-computer literate ones (but I have since been proven wrong).
After some time, looking at the desktops just got boring because the only thing that would change is the wallpaper. So my fascination waned and I moved on to other things.
This weekend Windows 2000 decided to push me over the edge so I put Windows XP Professional back on my main desktop. When I did this I also decided that I was going to tweak the look and feel of it so that it suited my needs and fit my work habits better along with showing my personality.
So here is what I have so far (click on image to view larger size):

Feel free to post your own, but keep the images down to 400px in width. Even better if you can create a thumbnail link I have done.

2Very slick indeed. I do miss Linux on the main desktop. Maybe I shall I return one day when my reliance on certain programs is non-essential.

8What visual style are you using, Scrivs? I like the look of it.
I have a nice active desktop thing going on based on an AD setup I found on the Neowin forums, but I’m redoing it right now. I’ll get a pic when I’m done.
