In my web travels I had noticed that some people had cool links to New York Times articles that didn’t require a log in to read. Even though I have a registration, it’s a pain to have to log in just to read a single article. It’s especially a pain if it’s been awhile since I last logged in and it takes me sixty tries to get in to read the article.
Thus, I have much love for the cool links that make it quick and easy to read NY Times articles, and now I know how to do it. It’s a simple form: enter the URL, hit go, and it generates the link. Also important is that the generated link stands the test of time allowing for fee-free access to archived material.

1The bookmarklet is the real godsend for me – just click it when faced with the registration page, and away you go.
