Apple today announced the U2 edition of the iPod. As you can see it’s a regular 20gb iPod, except it’s black and red, has U2’s signatures on the back, and costs $50 more than a normal iPod. You also get a U2 poster, and $50 coupon for “The Complete U2″ if you purchase it from the iTMS. “The Complete U2″ is a “digital box set” of over 400 U2 songs, which you can purchase from the iTMS in November for $150.

1so it doesn’t come preloaded? that sucks. Makes sense I suppose though, since itunes would try to wipe it off when you set it up.

2Nope, gotta cough up another $150. But I guess that really isn’t too bad when you consider it’s basically everything U2 has ever recorded.
