There’s one built into the web developer toolbar… it doesn’t do the sidebar though I don’t think, it actually outlines elements on the page.

Is there a outliner plug-in for FireFox 1.0? One that shows the elements in hiearchial view in the sidebar?

Outliner v0.2 only works up to FF 0.9!

The EditCSS sidebar is already present on Web Developer with more or less the same functionality. What I meant by intuitive is to somehow avoid dealing with hex color codes entirely, you’d just click on a section of the page and alter the color through a picker/color wheel.

I’m probably the only one who wants something like this because I’m terrible with color and end up copying and pasting color codes a million times before I get it right.

And btw JC, that color wheel you link to on your page is great ;) (the link needs updating)

Now if only someone would write an extension for Thunderbird that’d import your settings from the Sage plugin so I don’t have to do them all over by hand…

Let’s not forget that the web developer ‘view source’ opens in a new tab instead of the default behavior of opening up a new window that takes over your whole screen and doesn’t let you use mouse gestures. Saving you *one whole click* is just the cherry on top ;)

Speaking of colorzilla I’m still looking for an extension that lets you change font/div colors on the fly by selecting them on the page. The DOM inspector allows you to do this but it’s not intuitive enough, and when you’re working without a fancy WYSIWYG interface you need a fast way to try out different color combinations and make adjustments. Probably wishing too much, but you never know…

I use the page rank and web developer extensions extensively. (I mean can anyone really be bothered to use *two* clicks to view source?) However, I just installed the FoxyTunes and colorzilla plugins and am in love. How did I not know about these before?

I find easyGestures way too intrusive. I use all-in-one gestures instead. Also colorzilla is a great companion to the web developer extension.
