With election day tomorrow, I hope you’re all planning to vote (at least, among our US readers). If you don’t know where your polling place is, you can find out at MyPollingPlace.com. It also includes what types of machines your polling place uses, and instructions on how to use them. Very useful. Now if only they had a big “none of the above” lever…..

1Perhaps, MyPollingPlace.com has exceeded its bandwidth as it seems to be down. I did come across MyPollingSite.com. I’m not sure if it’s as good, but I found my polling site through it.

2looks like it’s back up again. I noticed the same problem earlier, though, yeah.
mypollingsite seems only to have very outdated phone numbers to the local election boards. (for example, they have my area code as 219 and that changed like 3 years ago). Still, better than nothing. :-)

3The election-related sites are getting hammered. Electoral-Vote.com has been down intermittently as well.

4This is sort of on topic and is more information related to electoral-vote.com. I couldn’t find very much information, but the “news” section mentioned something about an attack on the website yesterday.
It gave alternate URIs to check if electoral-vote.com seems to be on the blink.

5I know that it’s 4 years later, but I thought that this information might still be valid. I went to mypollingplace.com, and if they have a way for you to find your polling place on there, I sure couldn’t find it on the website. Maybe it needs to be re-designed and made more user-friendly for idiots like me…

6You’re not an idiot! I couldn’t find anything either. Maybe i didn’t look hard enough, but if it is in there it definitely needs to be easier to locate.
