It’s not so long ago that we learned to master the Windows Registry, a buzzing hive of little-known configuration settings. Now we find that Firefox 1.0, the hot new browser released on Nov. 9 by the Mozilla Foundation, has its own hidden playground for us to tweak.

no scrolling needed… anchors are beautiful. :-)
It’s pretty addicting to fiddle around with about:config, but I’ve had problems upgrading Firefox in the past when the settings there were heavily customized. Nothing serious, just some glitches that involved tweaking about:config back to some defaults.
And I’m surprised they didn’t mention about:mozilla even if it doesn’t do anything useful ;) I can’t find it right now, but there’s an archive of those easter egg pages dating back a couple of versions.
