EA’s CFO Warren Jenson made a presentation at the Credit Suisse First Boston Annual Technology Conference of what the next-generation console games will look like. And I gotta say… I’m impressed.

He also talked about the future of online gaming for consoles and about how EA plans on selling its games… online!

Reading this tells me two things, and strangely neither of which offer insight to the future of gaming.
1)EA thinks eye candy is the only important aspect of a game
2)EA wants to find new ways to milk money from consumers.
Not necessarily. Eye candy is a very important aspect of a game, not the only one, but still. EA is right to care about this subject.
True, but I don’t blame them. That is the world we live in… and they indeed know how to milk money from consumers, just take look at The Sims series.
I never liked EA and perhaps I never will like, but they surely know about market.
No, he pretty much stressed the importance of visual quality above everything else, and how to tap into the online segment revenue stream. This was basically a good article for anyone with EA stocks, but sadly gamers won’t find anything there.
If only real life worked that way!
hmm…:?
