I was stunned when I saw this on Google news this morning, with pretty much all the news outlets covering it. It's a survey done by a tiny little .com site with a pagerank of 5 for crying out loud. Watch out Reuters: Here comes brandchannel.com! As a sidenote, this survey has to be flawed. Everyone knows that the world would come to an end without Starbucks. Why is this such a big deal? Apple does a nice job inserting it self into the culture opposed to many other company who try to insert you into a new culture. While the ipod is nice I don't feel it offers enough value for the cash (yet) I will probably get to see ipod linux running tomorrow so depending on the features that can add I might be able to look more favourably. Another thing I'd like to see them get kudos in is usability. They put out products that are just so darn intuitive. A lot of people can learn great lessons by practicing what Apple preaches.
