I think good general anime information sites are hard to come by. If your need is series-specific, it gets easier to find, because rabid fans tend to keep those updated like a MOFO.

dubbed anime is lotsa harder to find. most subbed animes can be distributed legally on the net. becoz they are not licensed, dubbed cant and most anime fans prefer subs anyway
well, it will be dubbed anime. I am looking for some dubbed case closed for my girlfriend, (If any one knows of some dubbed case closed, please leave a message here) (torrents, or direct download) but when I get on high speed, (I hope by the end of the month), I will be uploadding the first season of inuyasha, the first, second, and third inuyasha movies, I hope some yyh, and maby FLCL if I can find it. Hey I used to have a site on my favorites that had Inuyasha episodes that played on real player, and was in Korean i think. The URL was something like indexofeps and then a bunch of numbers. The page at the top said Parent Directory, and then it had a list of Inu episodes with .rm or .ram tags. Can anyone tell me the exact URL so I can find it again???

Just out of curiousity, what’s the big deal about direct only and dub only? I don’t want to start any sort of flame war, but really, what’s so great? Bittorrent took me about 1/2 to figure out and get rolling, but works just fine (I use it even on a college IP; it’s slower but works). To just get started, I reccommend yABC, search it at sourceforge.net (i think it’s .net…), if your computer literate go for Azureus, also at sourceforge.
As for dubbed anime, while I’m well aware that occassionally an anime HAS to be watched in english (like Hellsing), I has found that sadly most animes’ voice actors do a better job in japanese. This avoids the ‘kiddyification’ that so often occurs with dubbing (AKA Inuyasha). For the most part, I have found that the people who demand only dubs are just too lazy to read. Of course, the best scenario is to just DL a dual-audio version of it, which are often available at smaller sites like anime tracker coalition (http://animetc.proboards23.com/, has great anime, some obscure, at amazing fidelity, personally reccomend!), which do require a sign up but are free, friendly, and have an awesome selection. To watch them, get the VLC player from videolan.org; it lets you switch audio streams and subtitles as you go and can play anything known to man.
In closing, invest .5 hr in bittorrent and DL dual audio when available!
Starkiller, I want to answer some of your things. I, for one, needed direct download. See, neded, direct download because I was using “dap”, and it would save where ever I left off at.
Now, I have quest and I dont need it.
But, any ways, I need dubbed anime for the reason that, no, I am not 2 lazy to read it, I just cant. See, I am blind.
But, I think that I will be using bittorrent.
Now, for the others, I dont know.
starkiller, direct download is 10 times faster than torrent downloads. especially when ur on a slow internet connection, torrents take me 3 days to get an ep, while direct takes me 3 hrs with the slow connection i have.
and subbed is better because it sounds better

It hasn’t failed me yet. You have to be a member and post in the forums to get more downloads but you start off with I think 3 downloads a day which is pretty good, this site has most of the anime some people here were asking for…and I think the one Jubei asked for as well…

dubbed anime is lotsa harder to find. most subbed animes can be distributed legally on the net. becoz they are not licensed, dubbed cant and most anime fans prefer subs anyway

Hey I used to have a site on my favorites that had Inuyasha episodes that played on real player, and was in Korean i think. The URL was something like indexofeps and then a bunch of numbers. Just out of curiousity, what’s the big deal about direct only and dub only? I don’t want to start any sort of flame war, but really, what’s so great? Bittorrent took me about 1/2 to figure out and get rolling, but works just fine (I use it even on a college IP; it’s slower but works). To just get started, I reccommend yABC, search it at sourceforge.net (i think it’s .net…), if your computer literate go for Azureus, also at sourceforge.
As for dubbed anime, while I’m well aware that occassionally an anime HAS to be watched in english (like Hellsing), I has found that sadly most animes’ voice actors do a better job in japanese. This avoids the ‘kiddyification’ that so often occurs with dubbing (AKA Inuyasha). For the most part, I have found that the people who demand only dubs are just too lazy to read. Of course, the best scenario is to just DL a dual-audio version of it, which are often available at smaller sites like anime tracker coalition (http://animetc.proboards23.com/, has great anime, some obscure, at amazing fidelity, personally reccomend!), which do require a sign up but are free, friendly, and have an awesome selection. To watch them, get the VLC player from videolan.org; it lets you switch audio streams and subtitles as you go and can play anything known to man.
In closing, invest .5 hr in bittorrent and DL dual audio when available!

starkiller, direct download is 10 times faster than torrent downloads. especially when ur on a slow internet connection, torrents take me 3 days to get an ep, while direct takes me 3 hrs with the slow connection i have.
and subbed is better because it sounds better

Hi everyone. firstly. people were looing for some anime such as trigun. i have found p2p programs such as bearshare and limewire, fairly decent source of anime series. to be completly honest i got trigun from bearshare about 9 months ago. all the way up to episode 26 and the trigun special. downside is they are from japanese tv, so the quality is not as good as dvd. they are subbed. secondly, i want some english dubbed anime. my young dauther loves it too but cant read. some english anime sites please. i downloaded cardcaptor sakura season 2+3, but its in japanese. she is soooooo upset. please someone help. you can e-mail me at vlosrd@hotmail.com

I tried for ages to find Slayers but wasnt successful! I bought the whole collection (everything to do with Slayers) from ebay.co.uk for £7. If you have an ebay account I’ll give u their user id so u ca contatc them. I would post it to u myself but 1. i cant burn cds or dvds and 2. im sure u wouldnt want to give out your address to some random person!

I downloaded it as torrents.. and I found the subbed version, too=)I don’t remember where I found them, all I have is the names of the torrents, maybe you can find something if you google them.. they are
subbed: Gravitation Series and OVAs (shounen ai)
not-subbed: [V-A]_Gravitation_TV
