I think good general anime information sites are hard to come by. If your need is series-specific, it gets easier to find, because rabid fans tend to keep those updated like a MOFO.

Protoculture Addicts is a good magazine for people college age and older. You can look at their website to get an idea of what they’re about.
And for anyone who isn’t downloading the fansubs of Gankutsuou, all I have to say is that you should be.

64Yes…I am having trouble finding Kenshin eps I just want single eps I left off i ep. 38 and I could not obtain the eps cause the site wanted money…Instead of torrents which are like almost 2GB each (est.) I just want single eps Avi torrent or RMVB are fine just clue me in on where I can find the eps so I can continue with the series

72ok here how to use Azureus. start Azureus up ok then hit ctrl o then find the torrent file u downloaded from lets say mininova.org the torrent file should look like a spotted frog if your using azureus u the should be good from there. if u still have problems email me at chouji101@gmail.com or look up some help notes of the help on azureus

246Just out of curiousity, what’s the big deal about direct only and dub only? I don’t want to start any sort of flame war, but really, what’s so great? Bittorrent took me about 1/2 to figure out and get rolling, but works just fine (I use it even on a college IP; it’s slower but works). To just get started, I reccommend yABC, search it at sourceforge.net (i think it’s .net…), if your computer literate go for Azureus, also at sourceforge.
As for dubbed anime, while I’m well aware that occassionally an anime HAS to be watched in english (like Hellsing), I has found that sadly most animes’ voice actors do a better job in japanese. This avoids the ‘kiddyification’ that so often occurs with dubbing (AKA Inuyasha). For the most part, I have found that the people who demand only dubs are just too lazy to read. Of course, the best scenario is to just DL a dual-audio version of it, which are often available at smaller sites like anime tracker coalition (http://animetc.proboards23.com/, has great anime, some obscure, at amazing fidelity, personally reccomend!), which do require a sign up but are free, friendly, and have an awesome selection. To watch them, get the VLC player from videolan.org; it lets you switch audio streams and subtitles as you go and can play anything known to man.
In closing, invest .5 hr in bittorrent and DL dual audio when available!

374Hi everyone. firstly. people were looing for some anime such as trigun. i have found p2p programs such as bearshare and limewire, fairly decent source of anime series. to be completly honest i got trigun from bearshare about 9 months ago. all the way up to episode 26 and the trigun special. downside is they are from japanese tv, so the quality is not as good as dvd. they are subbed. secondly, i want some english dubbed anime. my young dauther loves it too but cant read. some english anime sites please. i downloaded cardcaptor sakura season 2+3, but its in japanese. she is soooooo upset. please someone help. you can e-mail me at vlosrd@hotmail.com

469Zoom player is a type of media player. Its really good. Yes it would have the English dub voice actors.
It worked for me when I downloaded an episode of Slayers. I played it in DivX and it was the dub (which I didn’t want) but when I played it with Zoom (or z) player, it gave the option of Japanese or English audio.

P.S. I don’t think you can get english episodes since they’re copyrighted.

531I hate fuckin Youtube now. They deleted Rurouni Kenshin and Case Closed/Detective Conan. You can’t find those episodes anywhere without paying for it or getting it some other stupid language. Like I said, I tried Limewire but it only gives me AMVs or other dumb crap. A couple more are added each day, but so far I haven’t been able to track down the eps I REALLY want to see (222-224 and 238-240). 582can anyone share with me where you always download anime using download manager? I use INTERNET DOWNLOAD MANAGER, and most of the anime downloading speed is quite ok depending on the website. Can pause and resume, so easy. i would suggest everyone use download manager to make the download process easy. but not all anime can be download through download manager. so, anyone who knows good site, please tell me. Don’t complain about the japanese – the Gravitation copyrighting is really strict which is why it’s so hard to get. Subs are your best bet.

608You can get around the not being able to download anime from AnimeCrave (you still must pay) by doing this:
1. Download FireFox.
2. Download the “Adblock” extention
3. Go to a page with the episode you want to download, and click the adblock link
4. search for the only “Object” type
5. Copy the url, past it in the URL box.
6. it will come up with a blank page. search the url for the .asx and change it to .wmv
7. Hit enter to submit the new URL and enjoy your downloaded anime. :)

- Wide selection, mostly in RMVB format, direct downloads. Downside is you can only download a certain number at a time and under a speed restriction. Get DAP and set the connections to 2 or 3 and that will help somewhat – at the price of only downloading one at a time. They also have a massive manga library. Buying a speedpass would help considerably with this.

- A very nice little site which I’m getting Kng of Bandit Jing from. Small selection, but the owner is slowly adding to it. English subbed and dubbed RMVB’s and nice download speed (Approx 10mins per ep at 1.1mps0. Unfortunately, he relies on Mega upload or some similar site, which limits you to one download at a time, and a bandwidth limit (approx 4 episodes every few hours). Again, subscription to them would help somewhat

If a mod wanders over this, can they delete the above post by a user pointing them to it? You can waste hours, go digging through the code of their upload pages, and still get absolutely nothing out of it.
