2004 has come and gone and with that was a year where we got to see some of the best anime series ever introduced. While it would be cool of us to list all the new ones we saw along with our thoughts we can’t because we have to focus on the new year and the new anime project…(shhhh)…
What we can do is show you some of our favorites from the past year. In no particular order:

Mai hime has been pretty good as well. In fact, mai hime and bleach are the main 2 I have been watching and both are very good.
I have not read either manga, can anyone comment on how the manga for bleach or mai hime is compared with the anime?

I am surprised Initial D was on the list. I watched quite a bit of it, and I thought it was stiff, uninteresting, and unrealistic.

Very sad that I can’t seem to find any more eps of it though. Got to about 11 and disapeared.

Based on the recommendations in the comments, I’m going to check out Mai HiME as well.

Samurai 7 was good. Typical “samurai coming to save the peasants” storyline, with the usual combination of swords and huge mechs, but still made interesting.
I disagree about Initial D being stiff or uninteresting, there was plenty of excitement and adrenaline, though perhaps only appreciable by car fans. Which, incidentally, I wasn’t, but am now. As for being unrealistic, most anime is unrealistic; realism isn’t the point.
samurai 7 was a Akira Kurosawa tribute (probs wrong word to use) up to episode 17 anyway. Supposed to be the most expensive anime series eva… according to the blurb anyway.
I love the abstraction of period of time.Old and new. Its new. ‘new’ is the best complement u can give anything nowadayz…

Have to say this is an excellent little site you’ve got here. Techi stuff and anime. It also seems to adult oriented aswell. Which is a tuff ask for an anime site. Nice to see u havnt joined the naruto bashing bandwagon asswell.well done boyo.
Can’t bash Naruto when it’s actually a well done show with emotions. I think most people tend to think once a series surpasses the standard 26 episodes (with the execption of FMA) that is more Pokemon/Dragonball like.

Bleach rocks. Initial d was pretty good. Naruto was ok.

ouran is my fav hands down.
