It's being reported at MacCentral that the hard drive is actually 4200 rpm.

5,400rpm drive hurts it for me. I will still get one probably because it will serve a specific purpose, but don’t expect any read/write functions to hurry along.

I’d never recommend buying generic RAM. It can lead to major instabilities and even system failure, as was the case with my Powerbook I believe.

Crucial is a good trusted source of RAM.

I’m sure someone will replace the CD/DVD drive, though I don’t think it will be easy or necessary. You can get external firewire CD/DVD burners very cheaply and easily.

Any possibility of upgrading the CD/DVD drive in the future? Is it a notebook drive as well?

And for the ram, would you reccomend generic/house brand or another name brand? Any specific sites?
