I looked at that phone at spark fun, and theres a problem. In the US, on mobiles, apparently you just type in the number without the prefixing 1, making it 10 digits. Here in England, you always use the prefixing 0, making it 11. Anyway, in there manual, it says basicly it accepts 10 digits before doing the equiv. of pushing the send button. Is there anyway of making it take 11 before sending, or just putting the 0 in front of it?

I miss the old rotary phones. They were built like tanks and lasted a lifetime. I can't even remember how many of these newer junky phones I've had. Between lightining storms, dropping them, and normal wear and tear, it has to be up there. Seems so wastful of money and resources. Why can't they build anything that will last more than a couple of years anymore?

I'm meeting kids these days who haven't even heard of rotary phones, let alone used them... I feel old.

But people will always want to turn the ultra-modern into the retro... or stick one inside the other. It's in our genes apparently.
