Last week I mentioned the Dell 20″ LCD and the low price that you could get it at. Well this week Dell released a 24″ LCD monitor for the sick price of $1200. I am tempted to return my 30″ Apple and get two of these bad boys, but that would take up a lot of desk space that I just don’t have at the moment.
ExtremeTech has a review of the monitor and in a nutshell it is considered a must-buy. For you gamers out there, the monitor has a response time of 12ms. Plenty good for you.
Oh and it has component-in so hooking up the game consoles shouldn’t be a problem.

1A few months ago, I got the HP 23″ LCD for about $200 more than the retail price on this Dell (I’m sure the price can be brought down with coupons later). I’m finding the bigger resolution pretty useful– and not so bad for watching DVDs, either.
Dell makes pretty good LCDs, I have their 18.1″ from a couple years ago and still use it as a dual display, if I need it.
Of course, now I feel horrible for paying more for a 1″ smaller LCD. Thanks, haha

2I love my ACD 23″.
I know I paid a buttload compared to the Dell 24″, but it’s really really hard to get the high response times and the great color of the ACD.
There IS a reason it’s so expensive; other than just the fact it’s an Apple product. Maybe this Dell will change that.

3I love my 30″ Cinema Display as well, but this really is a kickass deal and one that is hard to pass up. I will keep the 30″ for movie watching pleasure.

4Ive used the 24″ 2004fpw at work so far and it looks great! Ive installed 17″ 1703fp models, 1903fp models, 2001fp 20″ non widescreens and now the 24″ wide.. Its as tall as the 20″ lcd but just much wider. I cant wait until they release say a 26/28/30″ lol.

5I must of read fifty reviews on all the different big monitors before taking my pick. The AppleCD was my initial pick… but after reading all the tests it scores lower then both th HP L2335 and Dell 24″. It sure is the beauty, but it performes worse at a higher cost. Even Mac World had HP as top choice (Dell was not in that test).
