Frying An Egg On A XP

From the “Just Because You Can” category, this site shows you how to fry an egg using the heat generated by your processor. This person used an AMD Athlon XP 1500.

Then he built the “cooker” using the following materials.

The tools needed are:

  • 1 x Egg
  • 1 x Roll of Silver Foil
  • 1 x Brown Sauce
  • 2 x Slices Bread
  • 1 x Heatsink

The end result looks like a normal fried egg. Wander if you could scramble eggs on there as well.

  1. I remember actually doing this in a local cyber with two friends that worked there, except we also did sausages (those tiny cocktail ones) and in the end we all ate sandwiches of them, and this was like… 5 years ago.

From my experience I can say that AMDs fry than Intels.

They are more suited for making coffee. Although I now have a craving for a fried egg sandwhich.

I guess it could be like cooking a meal under the hood of your car on the manifold when it in some sort of container or wrapping—sounds kind of weird but I am not into computer knowledge yet —hmm
