Earlier this week Jeremy posted a method showing how to keep your Macs backed up using rsync. Ethan was looking at a similar technique to keep his Macs in sync, but found that rsync wasn’t the solution he was going for:

It all sounds great, doesn’t it? Well, about six minutes into reading a tutorial on rsync, my eyes crossed and I began looking for something a bit more GUI-licious. Because, let’s face it: I’m not the sharpest bag of hammers on the block. Asking me to poke around in the terminal to write complex syncing scripts is like letting a toddler loose in a scissors factory: somebod’’s bound to lose an eye in the process.

Well since no one likes to get their eyes poked out by toddlers, he did some research and found an application to his liking that allowed him to quickly and easily keep his Macs in sync.

Not only that, but he discovered Synergy which I have heard from many people how kickass his application is. I have yet to give it a try, because I do everything on one computer basically (with the help of a personal server in the closet), however I am tempted to get another machine just to try this out (don’t think I am geeky enough to do that? Please.).

So if you would like to keep your computers in sync go read Ethan’s thoughts and make sure to wipe the screen of all the drool he left in the entry.
