MP3Tunes officially launched today and it seems to have everything right with what I can see, although the site is fugly. Here are the goods:

  • No DRM
  • MP3 format so it’s compatible with any portable player *cough*iPod
  • Unlimited CD burning
  • $0.88 per song and $8.88 per CD

Downside is small library of music, but of course they say that will continue to grow. I’m not going into if this is the iTunes killer scenario or not, but it’s good to see competition. I mean real competition.
