Pepsi/Itunes Promotion


 

It looks like the Pepsi/Itunes promotion has started early. It is supposed to be officially kicked off with a Super Bowl commercial, but apparently some product has already made it’s way to the shelves.

I stopped by the local Piggly Wiggly this morning to pick up some cold medicine and a bacon/egg/cheese biscuit. On the way to the register, I grabbed a Dew (actually a Diet Dew…darn those bottles look similar). I noticed when I got back to the car that it was branded with the new Itunes Free Song stuff.

Apparently this year, instead of just Pepsi and Diet Pepsi, they are pushing the iTunes promotion to a broader product line, including Pepsi Wild Cherry, Mountain Dew, Diet Mountain Dew, Mountain Dew Code Red and Sierra Mist.

This is awesome. I can’t stand Pepsi, but I can drink Mountain Dew like there is no tomorrow. Now, I must get to a store to see if they fixed the “tilt hack“.

In addition to the free songs, there will be a free iPod Mini given away each hour.

UPDATE: After a lunch-time run to the local c-store, I can say that the “tilt” still works!

    I hope they haven’t fixed the tilt trick.

    The clerks at a Mobil I frequent used to get so pissed when I’d spend a half hour with the fridge door open as I examined every bottle! :D

    Yeah, whenever the Wife and I would go to Target or somewhere that has the Pepsi coolers at the front, I would spend the entire time looking at the bottles while she was shopping.

    I always got strange looks from people passing by.

    Not to be anal or anything, but there’s no such thing as “Itunes”… it’s “iTunes”.
