Flickr Colr Pickr

One of the big things at SXSW this past year was people posting their photos to their Flickr photostreams. I called it FlickrBlogging. One minute you were sitting in the hallway with 15 other people, 10 minutes later a picture of it was on Flickr (guilty as charged on all counts, officer).

Anyway, here is an interesting tool that uses Flickr, although I am not sure what use it serves other than “cool”.

Pick a color from the color wheel, and it will return 12 images from Flickr with that color as the dominate color in the picture.

At this rate, the site name should be changed to ForeverFlickr. ;)

Plus, I really thought I had the ForeverGeek flickr-related posts market cornered. Sheesh.

    Actually, that would be ForevrFlickr.

Get with the naming conventions people!

uhhhh, the tool is enssential for combinig the right photo with a colour theme of your site….i use it all the time and find it invaluable.

I wonder if there is some software that allows me to encapsulate a swf file in a gnome panel widget, then i could use the colourSynthAxis annnd this colrPickr tool from the panel. I guess this would be a konfabulator type of prog, or i just have to learn how to program widgets using glade or gtk2…

plus i also really need a colour picker pippet tool for the gnome panel…it seems the colour picker for firefox doesn;t work under linux (im running the breezy version of ubuntu).
