Here is an article from Gamespot on converting movies stored on your PC in AVI, WM or some other format. It walks you through encoding the videos properly with the 3G Converter, then shows you how to get them on your PSP.

1My ATI All-in-wonder records in DIVX so it takes like 10 minutes to convert a 30 minute show to the PSP format. They take up like 80 MB a piece though so I’ll definitely be needing a 512 MB or 1 GB Memory Stick.
