Yahoo!News takes a good look at what Apple and Microsoft have to offer in their upcoming OS releases (of course, Tiger is due out long before Longhorn).
Relations between the users of Apple and Microsoft computers have never been particularly cordial. Windows users claim they’ve won the war for the desktop: all you have to do is look at the numbers and you find the most of the world using a Microsoft OS. Mac users point out a near total lack of security problems, along with a bombproof operating system that never seems to crash. (Then they sneer at the Windows masses.)
Pretty good comparison of the two from a non-technical point of view.

2with the last service pack, Ive tried everithing and my computer have not crashed. Even tough I love OS, CLEANEST INTERFACE PERIOD, I think its no match for windows, from the stand point betwen security over compabily , theres a 1/10 ratio that people would chose compability and the persentage increases if people knows that you could make windows as secure as OS , if not securer, thats what third party software are for.OS really kicks it in to overdrive if you are a graphic designer or content developer, where you really do not need to go outside the scope of what you are doing.

3No offense dude, but I’d rather have a secure computing experience out of the box. Third party software shouldn’t even be necessary in most cases.
