Well it looks like Yahoo finally has one-upped Google with the announcement of their API. Now you can access the tons of data in the Yahoo database for use in your own non-commercial applications. Google did this three years ago, but you never hear any developments about it that much unlike you do with Amazon’s API where a new application seems to appear on a daily basis.
