So i was sitting there this morning, using my trusty Firefox browser to checkout the news of Adobe buying Macromedia when, all of a sudden, I get a notice about an update available for my browser. It’s the 1.0.3 update.
Mozilla has slowly been rolling out automatic updates for Firefox and I guess it finally reached me. Good thing too because the 1.0.3 update fixes 8 security vulnerabilities that were discovered.
You can read about those by following the “visit site” link. You can download the new Firefox 1.0.3 here.

1You might see this as a sign that Firefox has many vulnerabilities. The case is rather that Mozilla doesn’t wait with updates, and doesn’t hide vulnerabilities as other browsers.

2My favorite browser is Firefox, but as it is right now IE isn’t *that* bad. If your main hobby on the internet isn’t looking around for porn sites then you’re pretty safe with IE. The worst things I’ve caught with it since SP2 were all tracking cookies and nowadays I don’t get even those.
If you put Firefox in the hands of a dummy he’ll still get Bonzi buddy in a couple of days.
