After Flickr was bought by Yahoo!, they promised that being a part of Yahoo! would allow them to give more stuff to its users.

Looks like they have come through on that promise. As of today, anyone who has a free Flickr account will see an upgrade in the amount of photos they can upload and archive, increasing the upload limit to 20mb and the archive amount to 200 photos per month.

If you had already purchased a Pro account, you should see an increase in your account time. If you had a 1 year Pro account, it has been doubled to 2 years. If you bought a 2 year account, it will double to 4 years. You will also get 2 free Pro accounts to give to friends.

In addition to all that, a Pro account now only costs $24.95 per year.
