Start-up Orion Multisystems has begun shipping computers for those engineers, graphic designers and biologists who need 96 processors and 192GB of memory at their desks.
How they are able to control the heat and noise from that thing I have no idea, but gimme a chance to play a game that can utilize all 96 processors and I’m in.
Though these 96-processor workstations start at $100,000…
Errr, maybe not.
Big ups to James for the link.

5The problem with having that many processors is that as you pass the 2nd processor, programs aren’t written to work with more than just two processors. All that extra is for running multiple programs at the same time, not for one large one. Better luck with a cluster.
