Microsoft if giving out copies of it’s new 64-bit XP operating system to anyone who purchased an x64 computer in the past 2 years.

In order to be eligible to receive Windows® XP Professional x64 Edition, your computer must have been ordered between March 31, 2003 and July 31, 2005 with Microsoft Windows® XP Pro (32 Bit) preinstalled.

Part of the agreement in receiving the free copy of XP x64 is that your existing copy of windows becomes un-licensed. The istallation of the OS will also void any warranty with your PC manufacturer. You will also need to make sure that there are 64-bit drivers for all of your hardware and peripherals.

If you are cool with that, it only costs $12 to ship the CD out to you.
