Make a fire with junk food

So you’re a geek… You’re probably not big on camping. But if you were to camp, you’d probably have some soda or some beer and a chocolate bar for smores. At least if you are a stereotypical geek that drinks a lot of coke and eats a lot of chocolate.

Anyway… you’ll need a fire if you’re camping, to cook your food and keep the level 55 elite bears away. You could rub some sticks together like Tom Hanks in that movie with the volleyball, or just rub some chocolate or toothpaste on the bottom of a soda/beer can to polish it into a mirror, then use that to focus light on tinder and start your fire.

Hmmm. Seems like a waste of perfectly good chocolate to me. Although, I suppose if it was a survival situation, the chocolate might have to be sacrificed.

I’d rather waste a $.25 bar of chocolate than die in the woods!

But yeah I guess normally if you planned to go camping and brought a coke can and some chocolate, you’d probably bring some matches too.

Just an interesting note: toothpaste has been used as an “abrasive” for smoothing out scratches on CDs for quite a while. Its probably a better choice than chocolate for polishing anything, since its more even… and you get to eat the chocolate.
