I live in Austin, Rodriguez’s home town. A local radio station was interviewing him last week about the premier.

He said Tarantino directed his scene for $1 since QT paid Rodriguez $1 for doing the music score for Kill Bill.

Rodriguez said that if this film does well he’ll have to double his rate next time.

I saw it last Friday and I thought the movie was just fantastic. I had heard of the graphic novels but never read any of them, but the movie was just so good that it is in my top 10 movies of all time list.

I think what I like most about this film is that is obviously takes risks, and does something beyond that: be different.
