Those reasons are not supposed to make sense besides c), that’s the whole point of the article. Microsoft is hardly ever frank to their customers and they always try to pull some bull to get their products to sell more.

I’m not a Microsoft hater, I’m using Windows XP right now, I just don’t like to see companies, whichever they are, treating their customers like idiots.

It makes absolutely no sense for an internet browser to only work with only one version of the same operative system branch, if IE7 is supposed to have major security updates then the first one should be to un-tie it from the OS!

Yeah, seems a bit harsh to me. B) doesn’t even makes sense…

Is it unreasonable to “retire” old OSs? W2K is 5 years old now, might even be 6 by the time IE7 comes out…Gotta pull the plug sometime…
