Normally, or perhaps never, has an anime episode been reffered to as just a single one on ForeverGeek, but this one is special.
This episode signals the pinnacle of the series, and all of the events so far have lead up to this. It’s like the Songoku VS Vegeta / Freezer / Cell / Boo of Dragonball Z all put together. And it’s way more awesome than all of them.
If you’re following the anime be sure to catch this episode, for it is the best one of the series so far, or if you’re following the manga, surely you must be the very least interested in seeing the outcome of the fight besides the waterfall again…
Ok, enough of my enthusiasm, go watch it!

1Ack if I had an extra hard drive, a faster internet connection and possibly a time machine, I think I would watch the Naruto anime :)
I think I know the bit your on about from having read the manga though, it is damned good.

2I wouldn’t say it is the best, but I will say it has been a while since an episode like this was released. I was too hyper as I watched. I’m getting mad having to wait for the next one.

3As I’m typing this, I’m downloading it off of Usenet. I had to wait until now to download it because I didn’t have any Internet access, as I’m away from home. I loved last week’s episode, though. I’ve been waiting to see Sasuke’s face when he saw you-know-who. (That scene was all I wanted.) Honestly, though, the preview for this episode looked rather blah. I’m overjoyed that it’s actually excellent.

5Next one ends it all unfortunately, if you see the preview you’ll understand why.
What I don’t get is that sometimes they make boring events so long and have to give the every little detail you don’t want to know, but when it’s something as cool as this they make it into two episodes.
In my oppinion, there hasn’t been such a cool episode as this one since Gaara VS Rock Lee.

6Griffith, I think it’s all just filler. I noticed that all anime does it to some extent. I just spoiled Naruto in some senses though because I started looking at the manga.

7This ep so totally rocked. Unlike some people, I actually like the flashbacks in the show. Its cool to find out what drives the characters and why they do the things they do. Although, what does piss mw off is Sasuke and his reasoning? He said he thought he had suffered more just because he had a family and it was taken away from him, unlike Naruto who had no family to speak of. What a load of bull.

8Oh yes, amazing ep. Next couple of eps should be good.
Excellent animation aswell. They kept it fluid and slick while ensuring the violence was softened by keeping it comic book like.
Excellent all round. Bleach is getting good aswell.
been a long time

9I thought it was a great episode but not up there among the best. The sasuke and Naruto rivalry is definetly blowing into something awesome, but I didnt like the animation in this one. It lacked detail, like the shukaku vs Frog boss episode or like Neji against the spider dude. This was fluid but lacked the intricate drawings of previous fights.
I agree, no fight, with the possible exception of shakuku vs toad boss, has approached the gaara, rock lee battle. I still watch that today.

10yes, definatly. This ep does take thier rivalry to a whole new level, but the past few episodes and this one are some of the most omportant to the series. for one, they explain how Itachi got so friggin strong, aka that third Sharingan form, what Sasuke was really after when he decided to become buddy buddy with Naruto, and that the seal on the fox is practically shattered completely. I suspect that it will only get better.

11Yes. This was by FAR the greatest episode (as far as the animation) in the series. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever seen better animation in anything, ever. The graphics in this episode look like they were done in a completely different animation out. If I could only own one episode of Naruto, this’d be the one. :)

12I think the ep where rock lee gets drunk on medicine and starts doing crazy stuff on this guy is a better ep than gaara vs rock lee. neone agree?

14Naruto ultimate fan speaking: that one was awesome. I absolutely loved it. Next to it I like episode 33 (100 episodes before)
Maybe three’s are just lucky…*laughs thinking about an episode of naruto*
Ok, now that I’ve made a complete maniac of myself…I’m going to go.
I can’t wait until the filler’s are over though…I’m ready for it to get back to the main story, as interesting as this side stuff is.

20Does anyone else notice how certain fight scenes have FAR better animation than the rest? for example, episodes numbered, 30, 48, 71, 133, sasuke vs oro, rock vs garra, 4th vs oro, and naruto vs sasuke, respectivly. I think these episodes have paid animators who are a lot better than the regulars. I havent kept up with the anime at all, but has there been any more episodes with these better animations? Obviously, the usual artists know better than to do this crical fight scenes themselves.

21@G1
i agree, it seems that they use different animators for these few episodes
133 was the best!!!
