Lockergnome is reporting that NewsGator has purchased FeedDemon, which is probably one of the more popular RSS readers for the Windows platform.

They have an interview up with Nick Bradbury of FeedDemon and Greg Reinacker of NewsGator.

Q: How does FeedDemon fit into NewsGator’s plans?

Greg: …What NewsGator lacked was a downloadable desktop product. FeedDemon, as the leading Windows-based desktop aggregator, fills this gap perfectly, and we’re excited to join forces with Nick to fill out the platform.

They also go on to talk about what will become of FeedDemon’s integration with Bloglines and their other product, TopStyle.
