A few days ago I posted a link to an FAQ about the proposed Real ID legislation, which is essentially a National ID.
Many people have come out against it in the past few days and weeks. The Senate is gearing up to vote on it without ever debating or discussing it.
The Real ID Act has never been debated on the US Senate floor. They’ve never talked about it in any committee. Heck, most of them haven’t even read it! Yet they’re planning to vote on it on Tuesday, no questions asked.
If you would like to send a message to your Senator urging them to vote against it, you can do so at this site, which will send a fax to the senators who represent your state.

two /. articles in a row! (and it’s even in order)
I’m sorry? Not sure I follow ya’ there.
While that might be true cliche, both issues I’m sure have been all over the news. Jeremy didn’t claim that this was exclusive new or anything, he’s just linking the site (for those who don’t visit slashdot I guess).
Just saying today’s articles in FG coincide with front page articles of slashdot.org:
(Firefox Security Flaws Lead to Exploit Potential)

http://linux.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=05/05/09/1221229&tid=110&tid=98&tid=106
I’m sure it was just coincidence since there’re only so much tech news, but /. is the primary news sorce for geeks(despite how much it may have degraded) and for a lot of us who read it, there’s no news in FG today.
I’m a conservative against REAL ID.
Everyone should be against this legislation.
