i dont know why people freak out over friday the 13th in fact i get really lucky that day. i think people freak out over that because of the movies friday the 13th. but i still like friday the 13th so later i gotta go watch friday the 13th

Personally, I have no problem with Friday the 13th. I like to do 13 of everything just to scare my superstitious friends.

It is also said to be unlucky because a young lady was kept awake the night of the 12th by forces unknown and rose the morn of the 13th in a foul and terrible mood. Wherever she cast her gaze madness ensued and all that dared to cross her path felt their life measured in scant moments and shrank fearfully from her presence.

Some also say that the arrest of Jaques de Molay, Grand Master of the Knights Templar, and 60 of his senior knights on Friday, October 13, 1307 by King Philip IV of France is the origin of this superstition. That day thousands of Templars were arrested and subsequently tortured. They then ‘confessed’ and were executed. From that day on, Friday the 13th was considered by followers of the Templars as an evil and unlucky day.

In fact, Friday 13 is unlucky since October, 13 1307 (friday, of course), when Philip IV the Fair, king of the France, arrested all of the Templar Knights (members of most rich, powerful and numerous monastic order in Middle Ages) in France, most of which were then executed.
