Long-Lost Da Vinci Masterpiece Found Behind Palazzo Walls

It could be a scene from the “Da Vinci Code:” A high-tech art sleuth finds a hollow space behind an Italian palazzo’s murals, and believes he may have discovered a Da Vinci masterpiece not seen since 1563.

In a case of life imitating art, Maurizio Seracini, an internationally recognized expert in high-technology art analysis, has done just that – and, in an odd twist, he does indeed appear, as himself, in Dan Brown’s popular bestseller about secrets hidden in Leonardo’s work – the book’s only non-fictional character.

I might be the only person on the planet who has yet to read the Da Vinci Code, but the significance of this finding is not lost on me. This kind of stuff is just too cool. I once found an arrowhead in the forest.

Don’t bother reading it – it’s at a 4th-grade reading level, and after the cliffhanger that ends each 3-page chapter, you’ll hear the orchestra going “Dun, dun, Dunnnn!!” in you ears. Blech.

I’m waiting for the movie. Amelie will be in it. I mean, Audrey Tatou.

I started reading it, and the writing was so juvenile I gave up.

If you want to read a *good* book with the same air of historical mystery, try Foucault’s Pendulum by Umberto Eco.

Cool news about the painting though! :)

I liked it. And I’m sure I’m not the only once, since Dan Brown made millions on it!

And I too have found an arrowhead.

I found an arrowhead and it sure is neat. I forgot the name of the rock but it’s semi-transparent. So cool.
