What a surprise. Some fans wish to see episodes 7, 8, and 9 of the Star Wars saga and they want Lucas to take care of it. I would go see those episodes, but only if Lucas didn’t direct them. I gave him three chances mainly because I hate to start something and not finish it when it comes to trilogies.
Not like Lucas would care about this petition. When you make billions a couple hundred signatures and the time you must invest to create three more films has no effect on you I would think.

1Ditto. However, if I hear a few weeks/months from now anything about Lucas blaiming the writers for the newest trilogy not being as good as the old, I swear here before all the geeks and God that I will never, ever, support any Star Wars related merchandise ever again.

2Why does lucas not want ep. 7-9?
He gets millions of dollars and doesn’t even have to be the director…
June 8th, 2005 at 11:35 am
3Roger Ebert pointed out that it likely won’t matter what Lucas or anyone else thinks about doing 7-9…The film studios will probably ensure that they get made somehow since the SW franchise is a cash cow.
June 8th, 2005 at 3:15 pm
4How could they make 7-9? All of the original actors are practically back in diapers.
June 8th, 2005 at 6:38 pm
5hey i wouldnt mind an episode 7,8,9 but if they do maybe starring robot jedi or an outcast sith… like a semi good version of sephiroth or something
June 8th, 2005 at 6:45 pm
6I recall that there was a series of Dark Horse comics that tacked on to the end of Episode 6.
I believed it was titled, Dark Empire, with parts I-V
June 9th, 2005 at 3:31 pm
7Really? Hey, that’s not cool what they did to episodes 1, 2, and 3. They need less of the artificial graphics and go back to the revised version of episodes 4, 5, and 6. Those were the best movies!
June 12th, 2005 at 5:47 pm
8ohh for god sacks george quite being so selfish and naive and make Star Wars: Episode VII,VIII,IX. Its only 3 more Star Wars. The fans want them and I want them. We need the final Trilogy. Don’t abandon them please.

11he promised a series of 9 back in 1977 so if he never finishs it it will be a shame as part 6 is to open ended. Yes the death star is destroyed but the empire is still very strong and the rebelaion is week but growing
so the series need completion
June 17th, 2005 at 11:37 am
12the sith is gone but like there could be a sith growing in a different galaxy, like um Darth Requisal, which means revenge.
Natalie Porman is hot, really hot, like super mega hot!!!!!

14I say; Palpatin is NOT dead! Only his clone! Vader killed a clone! It wasn’t the real emperor who died, it was to easy! And if you return to Episode III, then you can see palpatins power when Yoda is thrown into the wall very easy by the emperors force power! And Palpatin always use to say “Don’t underestimate the power of the dark side” and “It goes as I have forseen”, so Palpatin did know about Vaders attack against him, and that’s why Palpatin used his clone as target when Vader/Anakin throwed (the clone) Palpatin into the reactor. The real Palpatin is NOT dead and a new and very strong empire is hidding in the outer rim ready to strik back with two death stars! And now Luke and Leia must destroy the dark side forever, but only Anakin can do this from the oter side and the he will bring balance to the force as the prophecy said! (And everyone knows that GL changed Anakins ghost on the DVD of ROTJ, the old actor is gone! And that is changed because Anakin will return in the new trilogy, Episode VII, VIII & IX as a ghost to help his children! GL said that the new trilogy will be more etehrial! Actors from the first trilogy EP 1-3 will return in the new trilogy EP 7-9 to destroy the dark sith och the dark side forever!)

15And they who believe in Supershadow.com, must be very stoopid because supershadow is made up by a jerk, he don’t know GL in person, and he will NOT make any SW movies with GL ever in his life, because supershadow is an idiot! And Episode 7-9 DON’T have any names at all, and if they do then GL wouldn’t tell anyone about it, and if supershadow was GL’s real friend, he wouldn’t ever tell anything about SW to anyone, because a real friend doesn’t stab a good friend in his back.

16Its up to the fans to make the Star Wars Sequels happen. Please add your opinion on the Star Wars: Episode VII,VIII,IX petiton. http://www.starwars789.com Thank You.
August 5th, 2005 at 7:49 pm
17They do have names and GL would use the titles.
STAR WARS: EPISODE VII-THE FALLEN HERO
STAR WARS: EPISODE VIII-THE REPUBLIC IN CRISIS
STAR WARS: EPISODE IX-VICTORY OF THE FORCE

18Supershadow is a stupid. All who believe him should take a look at his website and discover that everything he says is false. If you dont trust me visit http://www.supershadow.com and go to the “Exclusive George Lucas Interviews” section. It’s really funny how the people who “writes to GL” believe they’re really writing to GL.
Sorry for my english (I’m from Argentina).

19I personally hope that Star Wars episodes 7 through 9 are never made. That would totally ruin the Star Wars saga. The original trilogy can still survive the lame episodes 1-3, but it would not survive episodes 7-9.
December 10th, 2005 at 2:18 pm
20I dont care what anyone says 1-3 were still good! People say that they suck, but the mood is just different. And it suppto be as well because its a darker series. Though I was didssapointed when Darth Maul died I thought he was one of the best villans. Though I did think the original were best I like the action in the new and I welcome another trilogy. After all there is so much story left that although the books tell the movies would be awsome. Personally I think that the Courtship of Princess Lea Would make a good movie. Episode 7-9 must come.
December 17th, 2005 at 1:13 pm
21The Sith are no more! Now its time for Jedi Vs. Dark Jedi and Mandalorians. VII,VIII,IX and last X,XI,XII
December 31st, 2005 at 6:45 am
22eposide 3 was awesome!and i think that GL should make more eposides 9-12 it woul be awesome if he could make a movie kotor1,2,and maby 3.But GLdont give up on us!!!!!

24okay wat u guyses dont understand is that the propchecy was that anakin was to bring balance to the force….NO MORE SITH so wat u saying about all this other sith is not true, unless yoda was right and it was misread, but i think if they will have 7 8 and 9 than it wont have any sith, which is probably why george wont make it….
January 20th, 2006 at 3:09 pm
25I thought that Episode 3 didnt meet peoples expectations. It seemed like GL was just trying to get it all over with.
January 20th, 2006 at 3:16 pm
26A 7,8 and 9 would be awsome but I doubt he will ever make them. He should burn in hell if he just lets the saga die.
February 24th, 2006 at 12:37 am
27GL BETTER MAKE STAR WARS 7 8 9 BECOUSE I JUST STARTED TO LIKE STAR WARS AND THEN HE CUTS IT OFF FOR ME
March 29th, 2006 at 1:26 am
28ok what people dont seem to realize is the contradiction GL has established in the prequels. A balance to the force was needed because the Sith grew strong. But by eliminating the Sith, then the balance tips toward the Jedi, making the force unbalanced. Does this mean there always has to be a Sith, or at least a Dark Side of the Force?
April 24th, 2006 at 4:34 am
29Please make 7,8, and 9!!! Please!!!
June 23rd, 2006 at 1:42 am
30It would be neat to see 7-9.
But not until i’m an old bastard
July 6th, 2006 at 10:38 am

August 16th, 2006 at 3:57 pm
33Get lives u geeks. there’s going to be a tv show so shut up. there is still alot of star wars to go around. also get lives
October 28th, 2006 at 8:29 pm
34What is the point of making Episode 7-8-9? George Lucas made a start and a end. I see nothing from Episode 6, who could be built on into 3 new Episodes. It has turned into an great and undiening saga. But with making it into 9 Episodes, will ruin the old Episodes. They all had their part of the end of the Sith. There is no main barrier for Episode 7-8-9. I have loved and enjoyed all the Episodes. I think they all are connected and closely well made story. An story has it’s start and an end, Episode 6 was made to be an end. So it’s not possible to keep on and on. For each new Episode, the old Saga just turns worse and worse.
November 12th, 2006 at 4:31 am
35Agreed. There should be no 7, 8 and 9 in the sense that they are contiguous sequels. Most everything wraps up nicely at the end of 6–well maybe not completely, but mostly. It’s a sloppy series, but Lucas once said (and I’ll attempt to paraphrase) essentially that the films are meant to be watched once and enjoyed without looking too deep into the whys and hows of it. They stand on their own. As I watch the movies, they get better, even the flawed episodes one and two. Those “love” scenes will always be cringeworthy, but I still like the movies for the escapist entertainment they provide. That’s what they’re really there for: films to sit back of a day off from work, crack open a beer and passively revel in the atmosphere of a galaxy far, far away. Nothing more.
That said, I’d love for Lucas to create a new story arc that doesn’t necessarily rely on the six films and can stand on its own. This story is over. I am not opposed to more fun in the world Lucas created. But I would say that even if a future trilogy were made, most of you would still want more. How about thanks, George, for a great ride instead of the continual badgering? Whatever is made in the future would be icing on the cake. I would certainly welcome it, but if not, I could live with that too.

36I feel betrayed by George Hopefully one day some one will bye the script of him and save us fans from the darkness George has left us fans in from Master Shayde once dedicated to star wars

July 22nd, 2008 at 2:58 pm
46yes i’d love a 7-9. I wonder who they would use as all of the original charecters too
August 24th, 2008 at 12:09 pm
47You guys are all obviously NOT Star Wars fans. There are plenty of BOOKS (those things made from paper, you read them) that chronicle many events that happened after the Death Star II was destroyed (let alone from thousands of years before it was built). From the apocolypse caused by the Death Star II debris falling down onto Endor and pretty much wiping out all life there, to several attempts of the now Empire in hiding tried to take control of the galaxy again, to decendants of the Skywalker and Solo families battling new evils.
If there is going to be another trilogy, it would most likely be based on the Thrawn Trilogy books. I’m not going to tell you what happens, but they are very well written and include all your favorite (living & ghost) characters from the movies.

48below are the jedi commandments that are to be followed by all star wars fans effective immediately
(these commandments were done by george lucas and supershadow collectively)
1. thou shalt not question the infallibility of george lucas or his creations
explaination: lucas can only make things that are total in their perfection. if
a star wars film fails at the box office , it is not a failing of lucas.
REMEMBER: George lucas cannot make mistakes!!! It is the fault of you the fans
by not going to the cinema enough.
2. thou shalt spend at least 20 per cent of income per month on star wars merchandise
explaination: a true star wars fan will always ensure the star wars story is continually sold.
We must ensure that our money gets to lucasfilm. We owe it to george lucas. he has
only you (the star wars fan)’s interest at heart.
remember when passing a toy shop,do go in and buy star wars merchandise(figureens, star
wars books etc). do not think of the money , only that you honour lucas with each
purchase.
3. thou shalt always ensure to the best of my ability that all new star wars releases are box office
smash hits
Explaination: a true star wars fan will go to any new star wars film in the cinema at least
30 times!!!. It is imperative that you take time off work, start at the 3:30 showing and then
all the repeat showings until the cinema closes. If all star wars fans obeyed this commandment
all future star wars films would knock titanic off the top pedestal
If you are unable to get time off work, simply calculate the cost of going 30 times and send
this amount to supershadow.com
4. do shalt within my lifetime visit lucasfilm (skywalker ranch) at least once.
Explaination: true star wars fans are obliged to visit sky walker ranch which is the birth place of jedi
when there, please do all the guided tours (their is a discount if all taken together)
however if a star wars fan is coming close to the end of his/her life and has not yet made the
pilgrimage, he/she must leave at least 20 per cent of they’re estate at death to george lucas
and lucas film. lucas will remember that person as if they had made the pilgrimage
5. Thou shalt not suffer anyone to ridicule star wars or george lucas
Explaination: a true star wars fan will not suffer the star wars story, movies , characters, special effects to be ridiculed
by the foolish. ie should a friend or family member ridicule jar jar binks, you must disown that person even
though they may be your flesh and blood. lucas expects nothing less. dont not use violence-just walk away.
the jedi religion is a religion of peace.

49We all want episodes Star Wars VII, VIII and IX. But don’t worry because Mr. George Luca will come to his senses soon.
P.S. Vote here for these episodes: http://www.hiburrito.com/en/PollRotation.aspx?IdPoll=234
June 29th, 2009 at 5:57 pm
50You know if there is and Episode VII,VIII,IX there will be eventually be Episode X,XI,XII about Cade Skywalker, a new cast and a new story maybe after Lucas’s demise someday. I remember the saga was originally suppose be a maximum of 12 Star Wars films like a clock or 4 trilogies.
STAR WARS Episode VII-THE DARK ORDER
STAR WARS Episode VIII-BATTLE OF THE REPUBLIC
STAR WARS Episode IX-BALANCE OF THE FORCE
Star Wars: Yuuzhan Vong wars television series between Episode 8 and 9.
STAR WARS Episode X-???
STAR WARS Episode XI-???
STAR WARS Episode XII-???
