Looks like AMD is going to change their Pin design on their CPU’s once again, going from 939 to 940 pins. Of course this means that those with motherboards that support 939 pins will not be able to use these new CPU’s without upgrading their motherboard.

I think that motherboard manufacturers should thing ahead. They should have made a 950 pin motherboard that supports a 939 pin or 940 pin or whatever AMD comes up with next. I find it very frustrating that every new generation of CPU’s need a very specific motherboard.
