I performed a search at google for php htmlentities and the results were returned in a different format than usual. The same search moments later returned the results on the original google design. I guess someone at the google factory jumped the gun.

This has happened a few times for me, with Google deciding to show me some sample results from Google Image Search at the top of the results list. Nice little feature…
If they do change, I’m glad it’s for something closer to their original layout, when they changed the search methods to the top of the textbox I was a bit disapointed.
Is it a new design or just an old design that appears here and there?
I recall someone having a similar looking find but when they went back to look at the internet archive, it was an old design showing through.
Looking for the link.
reminds me of this 37BetterGoogle
I like the redesigned one, but I hope they wouldn’t actually enlarge the logo like that.
Oscar: cripes man! That’s almost the exact same “redesign”. Interesting…
The reason you sometimes see strange version is because google roolout test version on to single servers within their cluster. This is to get real usage information about a design I read it in their blog as far as I can remember.
The google factory, lol…
I think it’s actually the PREVIOUS design of Google, which is sometimes striking back.
It happened to me lately, too :)
Yeah, looks like the old version of Google to me. It was around about a year ago- can’t believe people don’t remember it.
