I’m very confused about the Revolution right now.

A friend of mine just saw an article in a magazine produced by Babages (or gamestop… whatever they’re called now) that claimed the Revolution is going to have goggles that allow you to get a 360 degree view of games.

He said the article claims that you will have the option to use your TV as well, but with the goggles you would look around and see things as if you were there, and would see friends playing with you and be able to give them hand signals etc. (altered reality gaming).

This smacks of rumor and reminds me of the video that was circulating a few months ago which showed the Revolution as an altered reality gaming machine.

I have researched this rumor and can find absolutely no information on it. I’m going to hound the friend for the magazine so I can see what it’s all about. However, there’s no information on nintendo.com still, so it’s got to be bogus.

As far as paying for classic games: someone will (hopefully) find a hack to load ROMS to the revolution, or perhaps just upload torrent downloaded classic games.

Yes you were, this started off with gamesradar and became a giant snowball, the sheer sound of thousands of Nintendo fans screaming with glee obscured any hidden truth. Nintendo probably didn’t say anything for a while because they didn’t want to tip the boat too much (they’re already in bad tides).

naw it should be ok, I bet they will give a bunch away for free and the rest will be at a minimal expense. Also remember free internet service for first party titles!!

Man, nintendo might as well just forget hardware and focus on hardware, like Sega did.
