Apple is going to show a new product soon, and they are really working hard to get a good amount of hype going. I am pretty sure an iPod Video is finally coming, as many people have been waiting for one since before the iPod even had a colour screen.
Apple is preparing a major announcement next week, dropping hints of something as critical to the company’s future as the release of the original iPod in 2001.
The company sent an invitation to reporters on Monday morning for a “special event” being held on 7 September in San Francisco.
The invitation reads: “1,000 songs in your pocket changed everything”, referring to the release of the first 5GB iPod nearly four years ago. “Here we go again.”
As with any planned announcement from Apple, details are scarce and rumours are running rampant.
If it is the mobile phone with iTunes, I will be very disappointed, as this really does not change anything, unlike the release of a video iPod.

Could we please have more rumors and wild guesses about this amazing new technology that we can’t seem to hear enough of? No no no, don’t bother waiting until it actually comes out to review it.

4Someone always has a complaint. I for one like knowing what is coming out. I dream about new products that could come out next year or even many years from now. It excites me.
And Apple is doing many things right now, and I think they were all worth mentioning. If you want to wait until a product is out to hear about it, you are not a very cutting edge geek. :P

5I like to be informed on what’s coming up also, however, in Apple and Nintendo’s case, enough is enough.
I’m getting really sick of the fans over-hyping their products or even going so far as to create full-fledged complex 3D animation films about things they will never create just to try and bring the company name to the spotlight!
Sorry about the bitchy comment, I’m in a bad mood today.

6Everyone has bad mood days, it is important to recognize that you are having one…that is the first step.
As for Apple and Nintendo news…I hate to say it, but it is only going to get worse, as the products are released, reviewed, and a new product line or accessory line is created. Sorry…

7Here’s the fact:
Apple sent an email announcing that they will have an announcement on 9/7.
Everything else is wet dream, with the so-called ‘experts’ and ‘insiders’ having an orgy of guesses–everything from the product itself, to it holding 100 songs max[forevergeek.com] down to 25 songs max.[forbes.com].
Yes, this is a geek forum so maybe an anouncement of an anouncement is news. But what we have is four articles of mind masterbation that probably belong to the ‘comments’ section of a single article.
